Looking for a summer setup for some tropical fishing, but I don’t know exactly what to look for yet. I am planning to catch a few small albacores from the shore , along with lots of large bonitos and some dentex too. Trying to find something around the 8 to 9 foot range for that added casting distance to get poppers and jigs into the feeding zone of these fish, but I don’t want something super overkill too heavy for what I’m doing. Heard that the larger penn slammers and gosas would be good for this, but can’t find much on rods. Any ideas?

Been looking for a popping rod around 9ft for throwing some large poppers for gt‘s, small blackfin, etc. but can’t seem to find much other than blanks. any ideas?
