My parent (late 70 y/o) just had a traumatic brain injury which will likely require long term care. I am their only child (over 18 y/o) and am wondering how I can help them get social security benefits. Any help is appreciated—I have no experience with this and am pretty overwhelmed.

Parent is self employed and was still working at the time of the accident.
