9/30/26 Cubs @ Padres First Score Card Ever
As stated, this is my first score card ever. I used my iPad and a template I found here that didn’t include pitch tracking because I was working and wasn’t able to catch the game from the beginning so I had to back track using the MLB Gameday summary which doesn’t do pitch by pitch. Anyway, I did my best and filled in what I knew. I definitely did not use the “DEF” column correctly. If anyone has an explanation of what to do in that section, I’d appreciate it.
I think I did most of my play tracking ok. It is a mix of a few styles that I have seen but, it makes sense to me.
I do have a question about the play in the bottom of the 2nd (box 6 on my card) when Merrill stole second base. I wasn’t sure at all what to do with that.
Similar question in the bottom of the 6th (box 24) when Merrill was picked off during Bogaert’s at bat. I totally guessed so I could move on w/o missing anything.
Also, in the top of the 8th when Suzuki grounded into a double play (box 31), I am not sure if I tracked the outs in the proper place.
