Here is my situation: I’ve been out of rehab for about a week now, and overall I am doing amazing. My main challenge right now is transportation. I drive for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Lyft, and I’m top-rated on all of them. I make solid money when I have reliable transportation, but yesterday my vehicle threw a rod and knocked a hole right in the oil pan. It’s a 2015 Kia Forte sitting at around 192,000 miles, and my dad confirmed it’s going to cost more to fix than the vehicle is worth.
My dad offered to put up $4,000 to help me finance a reliable 2021 Toyota Prius with 62,000 miles on it if I can come up with the remaining $3,000 down payment. A Prius is the exact type of long-lasting vehicle I need to consistently work and pay off my expenses.
I am a hard worker, and I am fully committed to my recovery. I have a 702 credit score, a valid driver's license, proof of address, and all necessary documentation. My dad is also willing to provide proof of his steady income ($1,300/week salary) as extra assurance. He receives his Social Security check on the 8th of the month, so if I am short on any repayment date, he can cover the difference.
I am asking for a $3,000 loan, and I am proposing the following repayment plan:
September 8th: $3,500 repayment
September 12th: $250 follow-up payment
September 18th: $250 final payment (Total repayment: $4,000, which includes $1,000 in interest for your trust and help).
I am staying fully dedicated to my sobriety—attending NA/AA meetings every single day, keeping my mindset strong, and focusing on holding down my work. Being able to secure reliable transportation right now will give me the foundation I need to stay on track.
