Thinking of switching from Samsung to iPhone. Anyone else made the jump?

I've only ever owned Samsung phones, so One UI is all I know, and honestly I don't have any complaints. It's been reliable. That said, with the iPhone 17 finally getting a 120 Hz display, I'm seriously considering switching.

I already know I'd be giving up things like Good Lock and a lot of One UI's features, and I'm actually okay with that. What attracts me more is iOS's app optimization. A lot of apps just seem to be better optimized on iPhone to my knowledge, and I also slightly prefer the photos and videos that iPhones take. iOS apps are honestly the main reason I want to switch.

The thing that's making me hesitate is losing the android perks, like on my Samsung I use things like ReVanced for YouTube and YouTube Music, and if there's a paid app or game I want to try, I can install an APK. As far as I know, none of that is really possible on iOS (unless I'm mistaken, so feel free to correct me). I've also heard(saw a reel) Android is starting to restrict sideloading or making it more difficult. Is that actually true?

A couple of questions for people who have switched:

- Did you miss Android?

- Is there any equivalent to ReVanced or modded apps on iOS?

- Can you still download movies and shows onto your iPhone? like onto the device files and watch with vlc

- Overall, was the switch worth it, or did you end up going back to Android?

Thanks in advance for any answers or advice
