Hi all! Needed a vent and advice. I discovered lab diamonds a few weeks ago and have gone all in on sourcing a diamond and creating a custom ring. I've looked in stores to get an idea of size and shape, and everytime I think I've landed on the perfect one it's not it. I am really really picky about black spots and bowties, but of course I love all the elongated cuts. I believe what I am looking for is the bijou lab constellation cut or the Jann Paul flame cut. However both of those designers are out of my price range. I'm working with Romy/LGG and Carbon Sparkle and both have been incredibly patient with me. The short 10 second videos we get from the labs just aren't the same as incredible videos on Instagram or a website. I've requested longer more detailed videos in different lighting but I've then lost out on stones waiting for the video. And today...the final straw. I found a dutch marquise brilliant crushed ice cut, 4cts, and it got lost/stolen during delivery. I'm so sad and frustrated and also very aware I am complaining about not being able to find the perfect diamond. :) Attached and in comments are some videos of a crushed ice marquise I am considering now while i mourn the loss of my Dutch marquise.

Hi all! I have been looking to customize my first lab diamond purchase and I am lost in details after probably 30+ hours of looking. I went in person yesterday and found my preferred shape and size was about a 4-5 carat emerald on my size 10 fingers. I am still searching for that perfect emerald but feel confident ill have it picked out this week. So now its design time! I keep trying to put all the elements i love into one ring, but i think i need to scale back. Please let me know your thoughts on the attached designs. I will do a mininimum 2 mm band, I think i love brushed gold, and i keep going between nature inspired and art deco. Would love to hear thoughts and see yours! Option 1 is a more nature inspired with leaves and marquise on the top part of the band going down, but how many is ideal? Option 2 is the color burst flower with something added to the right side like leaves.

Hi all! Need some help please :) I just received my first 2 lab diamonds and they are gorgeous but small! My ring size is about a 10, and my hands are getting wrinkly from losing weight and age. So ignore those! I feel like i can get something a lot more substantial without it being over the top? I am going to have rings made from a dark blue/blue green radiant or emerald cut with baguette halo i think. The oval here in the video is 1.6 carat. I'll make another post with a 3 carat heart.

Hi all! I am looking to purchase a 2.5carat Dutch marquise stone and ring from carat diamonds. They have stated that the Dutch marquise stones are made to order and I wouldn't be able to pick between any or see a gem cert beforehand, although it would come with one. Has anyone bought from them? I am in love with this design. They said it would be F and I think VVS1 but thats it....without the report or a video I'm nervous? They are also on Etsy.
