Is return ok for this?
I ordered this personalised belt as a birthday present for my boyfriend after spending quite a bit of time comparing different shops. I chose this seller because they had excellent reviews, the listing showed the earliest estimated delivery date compared to other sellers, and I really liked the quality shown in the product photos. The advertised 50% discount also influenced my decision to purchase from this shop.
After placing my order, the seller was very friendly and assured me they would hurry with my order. However, after that initial message, I received no updates for around a week regarding the progress of my order or whether it had been dispatched. The item was only dispatched after approximately nine days and ultimately arrived around fourteen days after I placed the order. I understand that personalised items require time to produce, but I specifically chose this seller because the estimated delivery suggested it would arrive in time for my boyfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately, it arrived after his birthday, meaning I was unable to give it to him on the day it was intended for.
When we finally opened the package, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the product. The personalised engraving is barely readable and looks nothing like the clear, well-defined engraving shown in the listing photographs. The finished product simply does not match the expectations created by the advertisement, and the overall quality falls far below what I paid for.
I contacted the seller to explain my concerns, and although they offered a 20% refund, I do not feel this is an appropriate resolution. The main issue is not a minor cosmetic flaw but that the personalised item itself does not meet the standard advertised. Had the listing accurately reflected the quality of the finished product, I would not have purchased it.
