Charging LiFePo4 cells
So I built a car audio system powered by a DIY LiFePO4 battery pack (2P4S) with a JK BMS, and it’s been running great in the car. I’ve now moved the whole setup inside to use as a home system and I’m trying to figure out the best way to charge the cells indoors without the car.
I know I need to hit around 14.4–14.6V for a proper charge, so I guess a standard ATX PSU won’t cut it on its own. I’m looking at options like a bench power supply set to CC/CV, a dedicated 12V LiFePO4 charger, or maybe a buck converter module like an RD6006 paired with a cheap 24V PSU.
Can’t be the first person to move a car audio LiFePO4 build indoors – what are you guys using to charge? Any recommendations?
