Want to splice rca cables for amp
They are shipped by amazon uk. I understand it wont have a warranty and i dont really care. Are the speakers legit focal ones though? I thought focal didnt have an amazon store.
Ive recently bought a dual skar sdr kit 12 inch subs and ive managed to get the power light on my 1500.1d amp to show power and not protected power but the speakers wont play what are some tests to see what i did wrong thanks.
Still need the amplifiers to run them properly and I'll be building a custom box for the hatch, but for now I'm breaking them in and even 400 watts short they still sound incredible!
Im looking to redo my factory sound in my 2023 F150 Lariat. It currently has everything factory with the 8 speaker B&O system. Eventually I plan on replacing the door speakers but its not a priority at the moment. I currently have a Rockford Fosgate Power t1500-1bdcp mono amp that I previously had from another vehicle. I plan on hooking it up to 2 12" American Bass Hawk slim speakers. With a prefabricated box specifically designed for the 2023 f150 supercrew.
Im also installing a Sony XM-8ES amp to wake the door speakers up a bit so the bass isnt overpowering.
Ive heard that for the B&O systems you need either a DSP amp or a standalone DSP device. I already know Id like to use a standalone DSP device so I can use this sony amp because it would give more room for upgrading the door speakers later for its price point. This is the part that im not really too familiar with.
Do I need a DSP device for each amp or just 1 to cover everything? Also doesn't anyone have one they'd recommend and can explain the difference between a cheaper one vs a more expensive one considering that they mostly just convert the signal and dont really add much for clarity or volume?
Also is there a DSP device that anyone would recommend thats preferably budget friendly?
Also aside from an 0-1 gage wiring kit is there any other hardware/electronics I would need for this install to work properly?

Thinking of getting my Grandma setup with a backup cam as I think she'd find it useful. I've no experience with double din units as I've never had a car that supports them.
She drives with the radio off, but occasionally uses it whilst parked up waiting somewhere. If the stereo is "off", does it still wake up when reverse is engaged?
Does it even make sense to go for a branded unit over a cheaper Chinese one in this case? Sound quality does not matter at all. It will only ever be used for low volume FM radio.
Well last post i asked a generally safe wattage because i thought the sub was glued in, turns out it was just kinda stuck but no glue and lifted up with a careful push of a flat head, in other words im an idiot.
These things are advertised 750w rms from sundowns website, but people consistently told me you can push more to these things. I snagged an amazon deal on a stinger mt1500, and since its wired to 2 ohm i can do at most 1000 watts. What are people pushing to these?

My business partner and I recently bought a trolley (think tour bus in tourist cities). We are gutting it completely (needed, not wanted). The only thing we arent sure how to do is media. We build classic cars on the side so it isn't entirely foreign to us, but we dont know how to translate that into basically a bus. We need speakers, a TV, microphone/headset and somehow for all the audio to be controlled/linked in one spot. Any recs?
So one of my current speakers in my car has been failing so since i’ve kinda upgraded a lot of stuff already i’m thinking to just buy a whole new system, but when i google about it some say i need just 2 pairs of speakers front and back and then some say 7? where do the additional 3 go??

idk anything about reverse engineering stuff but ive seen some people do it on older headunits and i was just wondering if its ever been attempted on my specific pioneer unit. i do like the current backgrounds for it im ngl but i just saw people doing custom anims for their headunits and was thinking if its even possible for mine.
Hello everyone, I just purchased a new-to-me car and found this black box and cables connected under the drivers seat. I have little to no knowledge of audio equipment and am hoping to understand these items a bit more. After looking into it a bit I understand the box (alpine S2-A60M) is a subwoofer but not sure what the cable is for or what the system does exactly.

Where I grew up in Brazil, car audio was everywhere. Trunks open on the street, bass hitting you in the chest, and you could literally see the sub cones pumping from across the block. I used to just stand there watching them. I think that's when I figured out music isn't only something you hear.
Fast forward, I work in an office now and spend most of the day on headphones. Good headphones, great sound, but I always missed that part where you could see the bass. My second monitor was just sitting there doing nothing, so I had a kind of dumb idea: what if it became a speaker? One that reacts to whatever's playing in my headphones, like those subs in the trunk.
I'm not a developer. I built it with AI (vibe coding, if you want to call it that), and it was not just typing a prompt and done. Getting the cones to actually move with the low end and not just shake randomly took way longer than I expected.
It's called SONORA. Still early, but it works. Since you guys know what real subs look like when they move, I'd honestly love to hear if it looks right to you, or what's off.

I currently have kicker cs 6.5s in the front and kicker cs 4x6 in the rear with a ct sounds bio 10 in a sealed box. Currently i have the 6.5s running off 2 of my taramps ds 440x4 2ohm amp and the sub running off of the other 2 channels with the 4x6 on the headunit. I plan on getting a 400 watt amp for the sub and moving my 6.5s to the rear and upgrading my front speakers. Is there a good set of 6.5s that would fit my system and sound a bit better than the cs 6.5s?
Tldr: 16yo son needs audio in his CRV. Had sub and amp in my truck. Sounded ok. Let him borrow my sub and amp. I am blown away by how it sounds in his car. Let him keep and buy something else for my truck?
I know next to nothing in this lane. Been researching a little. I have an extended cab Silverado 2500. Years ago, a buddy had a type R in a ported box with a S-a60m amp. Traded him something for it. Sat it right on the seat, not a great idea for space and sound, but toolbox under seat. It worked and I've been happy.
My son got a CRV for his first car. Hes been wondering about sound. Told him what would help. We replaced all speakers. He loves it. Now wants bass. He wasnt sure the difference in sound would be worth the money. I told him hes underestimating how good it could sound. Took my sub out and installed in his CRV. I knew hed be surprised, but man was I blown away myself. Sounds incredible in his car. Obviously the space is the reason. That said, we had plans to let him test, then buy something for his car. I feel this sub and amp are going to waste in my truck. So I'm thinking of letting him keep it and buying something else for my truck.
Like i said, I was happy with it....until I heard it installed in his car. The difference is insane. Its obvious that a small truck cab wouldnt have the same sound as an open crv, but holy fuck, I was not expecting that large of a difference. The whole time I've thought it should probably sound better. Yea, its miles better.
Any thoughts on what i could look into for replacements in a extended cab?
Hello all! ive had this unit for about a year now, and recently the screen likes to go out randomly (It comes back if i tap it a certain way). Ive already reseated the ribbon cable but it still does the same thing and im not sure whats going on. any help would be appreciated.
