Some advice to help my son...and myself!

Tldr: 16yo son needs audio in his CRV. Had sub and amp in my truck. Sounded ok. Let him borrow my sub and amp. I am blown away by how it sounds in his car. Let him keep and buy something else for my truck?

I know next to nothing in this lane. Been researching a little. I have an extended cab Silverado 2500. Years ago, a buddy had a type R in a ported box with a S-a60m amp. Traded him something for it. Sat it right on the seat, not a great idea for space and sound, but toolbox under seat. It worked and I've been happy.

My son got a CRV for his first car. Hes been wondering about sound. Told him what would help. We replaced all speakers. He loves it. Now wants bass. He wasnt sure the difference in sound would be worth the money. I told him hes underestimating how good it could sound. Took my sub out and installed in his CRV. I knew hed be surprised, but man was I blown away myself. Sounds incredible in his car. Obviously the space is the reason. That said, we had plans to let him test, then buy something for his car. I feel this sub and amp are going to waste in my truck. So I'm thinking of letting him keep it and buying something else for my truck.

Like i said, I was happy with it....until I heard it installed in his car. The difference is insane. Its obvious that a small truck cab wouldnt have the same sound as an open crv, but holy fuck, I was not expecting that large of a difference. The whole time I've thought it should probably sound better. Yea, its miles better.

Any thoughts on what i could look into for replacements in a extended cab?

The table!

My son just turned 16. We had been looking for months for a CRV with under 200k. Nearly impossible. Well, the patience paid off. Found one from an old lady who drove it to church and doc appts. Stack of maintenance in glove box from the day it was bought. Original window sticker. Great condition other than a dent from the lady reversing into a pole. 🤦🏽

70k miles.

Kid loves the car, but had a lot of questions regarding the table. Thought it was cool, but didnt understand why. Then today, 2nd day of school. Lunchtime. He sends this pic and said "no one else has a table". 😂🤌🏽

Do I have no recourse?

I shipped a somewhat expensive item. Nothing crazy, but worth roughly $300 and I did insure it, although it may not matter. My postal office is very close to me. We are a small town and I know the postal people well. Numerous times over the years, I've dropped off packages for UPS at that post office. Never any issues....until now. On Wednesday(7-22) I made a drop off to the postal lady. She says, as long as you dont need a receipt, you're good to go. My first mistake, although I've done this many times in the past, was saying "nope, I'm good!" Now my issue. It hasn't had any updates at all. It doesnt even show it was ever scanned in at all.

I stopped by the post office and ask the lady. She says that is really weird, and that she gave it to the UPS driver personally. Again, small town, I do business often there. So she knows me, I know her. Of course UPS tells me the lable has been made, but its awaiting shipment. To which I cant really prove one way or the other, since I neglected to grab a receipt. Even though I've done this probably 30-50 times over the years without issue....lesson learned.

Any advice at all? Just wait and hope for the best?

I'm back!

A few years ago, a lot of you helped me immensely. I was looking to buy my son his first pc. He was very young and just starting out. I got a lot of direction and ended up buying used that a few people said would work well, and then force him to want to upgrade eventually and learn. It did just that! He has been wanting to upgrade the GPU for quite some time. Hes saved some cash, and is ready. Long overdue tbh. I may buy something used depending on cost. I will help him with the cost. There's too much info out there for us to settle on something. Any advice would help so much!

We've been looking at Radeon RX5600 XT(Marketplace, $100)

ARC B580(Market, $240)

RTX4060(Market, $200)

Im sure any of these would make a difference. Hes had the same setup for a few years now. These are just a few quick things I've seen most people talking about. I am not in the PC lane at all. My son wants to be, but hes not quite there yet outside of quick research. I just want a noticeable difference for him. Something like "omg Dad! This is so much better" would be nice. 😆

I've attached a Pic of what he has currently.

I see mixed answers on this. Any help?

Ive had buds 2 pro since launch. I use them a crazy amount. 12 hour work days with a little charge during lunch. Every single day for the last 4-5 years. I love them. Zero issues. I feel its time for an upgrade though. Its a very simple thing I'm trying to figure out. I work with fairly large gloves on all day. With pro 2, I can make it so I can tap the buds(actually, just tapping any part of my ear works) to change the volume. Tap left for lower, tap right for higher. With gloves, this had worked great for me. I've looked online to see if I can do this with the pro 4s. I see mixed info. Anyone who has them know if this is a possibility? I know this is such a minor detail, but for my specific use case, it matters a lot. Thanks!!

I ordered a single piece of weather stripping and a new door latch. This is what arrived.
