Website down, and for how long?

Any other website like RockAuto just to look at a bunch of parts and brands?

Edit: We used to grab Fram air filters from the nearest physical Walmart store but it's out of stock. After looking things up, I ordered Wix.

AC Compressor and Condenser for 2009 VW Rabbit

Need to replace the compressor and condenser for 2009 VW Rabbit. I'm thinking either Nissens, Bosch, or Denso compressor. The Bosch is on sale for $300. Any real world experiences with either 3?

Also need a condenser. Was thinking either Nissens or Denso. The Nissens comes with the accumulator/dryer. The Denso I would have to buy the dryer separately.

Live in Florida so having ice cold AC is mandatory. Which would you choose?

I wont be ordering off of rock auto again after last experience.

So I have a 97 corolla, I ordered a fuel filter and a fuel pump. I broke my wrist right when the parts showed up which i have proof of so couldnt install until it healed which was 3 months later. So i install the US MOTOR WORKSUSEP9162H and I can smell gas vapors, I researched if this is a problem with this pump and turns out yes it is. I also try to install the fuel filter but the bolt holes do not line up so its no good either fuel pump is HASTINGS / BALDWINGF262 (BF1050). So now i cannot return these items cause it is past the 30 days, mabey if I could talk to custum service but no they dont seem to have anyone that answers. And if I want to warranty the parts I get the same parts that will give me the exact same problem which wont solve a thing, on top of that I have to pay the return shipping. Im not happy to say the least and I dont think il ever shop at rock auto again, thanks Rock auto for a huge waste of my time, you guys dont rock.

Any of these brands good for a timing chain?

I would like to ask for some help. I'm looking for a timing chain assembly for my 2003 Toyota Echo. I was looking at RockAuto and wasn't sure which one to get, if any. One says OE, can I trust that? Anyone have any recommendations? Thank you very much!

Standard Motor Products and PartsMaster

So I ordered a set of Standard Motor Products spark plug wires from RA, but received a box labelled PartsMaster. The part number was the same.

I'm not complaining, but has anyone else had this happen? Does SMP use different brand names or something?

The gate serpentine belt and tension hustle

Hi everyone,
I ordered a gate serpentine belt and a tensioner kit for my sister's 2004 honda crv from RockAuto.com. The belt was alright but the tension was a mess. Its tensioner bearing had a play that made the belt came off so I decided to claimed the warranty. They sent me a new one but it did the same thing. So I decided to use the old tensioner with the new belt and it works good no noice. So how can I return the new tensioner for the refund? Any ideas? On the rockauto website is so limit

Metal shavings in the fluid chamber of the caliper I bought from rock auto

I got my vehicle all torn apart and got ready to install this caliper from rockauto and when I opened the rubber gasket to inspect the fluid chamber, I discovered a spiral of metal shavings inside the threaded area down inside.

It took me an hour to fish it out and to feel moderately confident that there wasn't any other shavings lurking in there but it's got me worried about the quality of the
item and if there might be other contaminants inside the fluid areas where it's critical to be free of that stuff.

I had no choice but to install it anyway, but it was a really bad experience and it complicated my install.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Here's some pictures of it. It should have never passed quality checks. I'd hate to see what could have happened if I didn't see this before getting it installed!

Edit: Brand was "Top Notch"

What To Do About Week-Long Delay (With Dubious "Weather Delay Excuse); RA Still Claims "Allow Carriers To Try To Deliver Part"

So I ordered some brake parts last week, on the 7th. The tracking took a whole week to update, and said "your package is scheduled for delivery tomorrow" on Wednesday. Yesterday, the package finally updated with a claim of 'weather delays'. I can't imagine they're talking about California's weather, being that it took them a week to update this tracking at all (it should have moved from there since), and we - across the country, where the package should easily already be after a week - are not having any weather of note here. RockAuto offers no option but "wait until the 21st and if there's no results we'll start to care". Is there anything that can be done other than wait at least two weeks for any news on some parts I ordered? This may well make the difference between continuing to use RA and not. Thanks for any suggestions you may have here!
