Tips playing “A major” in the open shape. Cramming my first 3 fingers on 1 fret. My pointer finger placement, ends up being really high.(instead of at the bottom of fret) I can’t press down on the string without buzz.
The string I’m using my pointer finger on ( D string )either buzzes or doesn’t come out. Can’t get the open (E string)to ring out because my ring finger is slightly pressing against it. I try to keep my thumb placement on middle of neck best I can, and press with my tips. Don’t know how else to play this chord clean. Does thumb placement matter ? Thumb being in open chord placement overlapping neck.
