I built a workout tracker that tells you exactly what to do today — tap the widget, start lifting

Been building this for several months and finally feel good enough to share it.

The thing that always killed my gym consistency wasn't laziness — it was friction. I'd open my phone, try to remember what muscle group I trained last, scroll through notes, and by the time I figured out what to do, I'd already lost momentum.

So I built Repbase around one idea: your phone should just tell you what to work out today.

Here's how it actually works for me now:

  1. I look at my iOS widget before I even get out of bed — it shows my streak and today's planned muscle group
  2. I tap it, the app opens directly on today's exercises
  3. I go to the gym and just... do them

No planning, no deciding. Just tap and go.

The streak widget is weirdly motivating too. I've skipped rest days just because I didn't want to break the number.

Would love honest feedback — what's confusing, what's missing, what's ugly. I have thick skin, roast away.

I built a workout tracker that shows you exactly which muscles you're hitting — just shipped to the App Store

A year ago I got frustrated with every fitness app feeling like a spreadsheet or an overcomplicated subscription trap. I wanted something that actually shows me what I'm training — not just a list of exercises.

So I built Repbase.

What it does:

- Muscle map visualization — front & back body view with targeted muscles highlighted so you can see at a glance if you're overtraining one side or neglecting another

- Health dashboard that pulls Steps, Heart Rate, Calories, and Blood Pressure in one place

- Workout plan builder with exercise detail pages (with proper form illustrations)

- Smart next-workout suggestion so you always know what's coming

What I learned building this:

- The muscle map was the hardest thing I've ever built. Mapping exercises to specific muscle groups, then rendering that as a highlighted body diagram — countless iterations

- Health data sync is deceptively tricky. Getting HealthKit to behave reliably across workout sessions took weeks

- Users don't want features, they want clarity. Every screen had to answer one question before I shipped it

Where I am now:

Just shipped v1 to the App Store. No marketing budget, no team — just me, SwiftUI, and a lot of late nights.
