Career guidance?
Hi everyone! I’m 30yo and looking to go back to school for a career shift. I’m doing as much research as possible into the field and path of becoming a sex therapist.
Based on my research, I’d need a master’s in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or MFT. After that, post graduate programs to get certified through the AASECT.
I don’t know anyone in the field to ask these questions to, so I figured I’d give it a try here.
What is/was the most challenging part about getting your degree and/or certification?
What’s the one (or two) thing you wish you knew before entering the field?
Any feedback is highly appreciated! The thing I’m looking for the most if a good life/work balance and the ability to work remotely.
