first pref- IT,second pref - ML DS

Hello people,
I have been given the opportunity to propose my dad an option to park his 10l for 2 years which will be ultimately be used to fund our potential business(retails and sales) in future.

Context - multiple FD's and MF have been made which value around ~1cr ( will be used for payment of new house) and my father is an NRI from Indonesia. Father 58M-to retire at 60, Son(me) -17M. 0% tax bracket. Money currently stored in INR/IDR. Feasible to convert it into USD. Risk - Low.

The idea I have thought of -
-invest in a good US mutual fund (presuming INR to USD will depreciate) or,
-Invest in corporate bond (secured with good rating) for 2 years straight in INR (India) or,
-Recently there was a announcement made about tax waiver for NRI's in corporate bonds as well to promote foreign investments- that's also attractive, but we already come under no tax bracket.

The idea my dad have thought of -
-Bandhan Bank - 7% FD in USD (again depreciation will be a plus)
We have once done a FD of 20k USD in ICICI Bank when rupee was 86 and when it got to 96 we redeemed it at around 95.6 with solid returns in FD or,
-A regular FD in INR in SBI bank.

Tertiary ideas-
Buy gold in IDR (currently at 130k/10g) - come to India after a few months and sell at higher margins (current price in India is 147k/10g).

Moreover, this will be also be considered as a extracurricular in my academic profile, and I want to make the best bet. Although I should I have attached a excel sheet to make it more technical but I think it's also not that cluttered.
