Cyclist wanting to try out Hyrox

Hi everyone,

I'm a 40yr male 77kg. I've been a competitive cyclist for the past 16 years and want to undue some of the neglect put on my overall fitness during that time. I currently ride my bike 8-10hrs a week with two hard interval sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I'm trying to figure out the when and the what when it comes to training for something like Hyrox.

Back in the beginning of May I started to do kettlebell work (12kg) to work into getting my body back in functional shape. I've primarily focused a sequence of the following: RDL, DL, squats, overhead press, bicep curls, swings and rows . It's now the end of July and 12kg is definitely too light. I haven't decided the weight I want to go up to, but I'm also trying to figure out what would be the best sequence of kettlebell work I can do to continue to increase my strength.

I'm not at all concerned about my cardio...a little concerned about my transition into running. I have a pretty big engine, but its obviously very cycling specific. That just sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Any insight/opinions or whatever would be great.

2.25 on 25mm internal hookless wheel

Looking for some insight on ETRTO standards versus manufacturer. I have a set of Syncros Capital 1.0s wheels with a 25mm internal hookless that states 50mm max tire size, but ETRTO states that a 2.25 can pair perfectly fine with a 25mm internal hookless given the tire is approved for a hookless wheel.

What's everyone's take on this? Thanks for any insight.

What's a reasonable asking price?

Hi everyone,

I'm putting my 2023 Marin Headlands 2 frameset up for sale with Pro Discover carbon bars and seat post along with Roval Terra C wheels

What would you say is a good asking price for that package? The frame is has a very small blemish on the top tube, other than that I don't think there is a scratch on the thing.

I don't know what frame to buy

So I come from a road background and used to more racey geometry (currently ride a new ler Addict RC). I'm debating whether I want a more road geometry or a more adventure like geometry.

I've thrown around the following bikes repeatedly:

  1. Lauf Seigla (rigid)
  2. Ari Shafer
  3. Tavelo Grow
  4. Yoeleo G21
  5. Ridley ASTR

I'm open to more ideas, but I'm struggling to make a decision and I know no one can make it for me, but just looking for some insights from those that possibly have experience with any of these bikes.

Edit: I've been riding a Marin Headlands 2 for the past couple of years. It's difficult to put a finger on what it's lacking. It's a great bike. This may sound stupid, but it just doesn't inspire me to ride it.
