Bought this road bike Any suggestions for Upgrades?
I bought this Specialized A1 Diverge for £200 - owner said he rode it around 10 times, since then it’s been stored away unridden for a couple years. So it’s in desperate need of a service
I rode it for 7+ miles to get it back home and the shifting latency was very bad and the chain would jump a bunch too, I was worried but got home in one piece thankfully.
Upgrades im thinking about:
-New tyres maybe GP5000
-New groupset, maybe shimano 105? I feel like that’s a considerable upgrade from Claris. I have another bike with 105 parts which is my daily and it’s good
-New pedals
-New saddle.
Anyways, I’m not an expert on road bikes so I need advice is it worth upgrading, or do I just service it, sell it and save up for a better bike. The thing is my budget is limited so I’d rather upgrade this if it’s worth it. I just want a decent bike for the summer coming up. Thanks
