I read rectenly an really like how they introduce changeling to the 5th edition, am even in my own proyect to adapt arts into WoD5. But im curious has anyone make a campaing based in this Homebrew, maybe a oneshot or even rule a changeling whit it? If yes how did it go?
ADOM is a roleplaying game were the lazos(bonds) are great part of what makes the game and the magic system. Basically you have something called Extasis that can only be gainend when you interact with your bond, each bond as a level with represents how close you are to them, it also prevents you from stop being human since your powers are completly link to a Lovecraftian being.
I make an adaptation for my friends since they never see Touchstones more than a waste of time, but loved the bond system. So heres is my Homebrew if anyone want to used or make some critique, everything is Homebrew :
Touchstones — Bond Ranking & Session Benefits
Touchstones are the living humans who remind a vampire of who they were before the Embrace. They are not trophies or tools — they are the last threads connecting the Kindred to their vanished humanity. Each Touchstone has a Bond Rank from 1 to 5 that measures the depth of that connection and how much of the vampire's former self still lives inside it.
The relationship does not need to be loving. A vampire who despises their abusive parent but cannot stop checking on them is just as anchored as one who tenderly watches over a childhood friend. What matters is that the Touchstone makes the vampire feel something real — something that the Beast cannot easily reach.
Session Benefits
Once per session, a vampire may choose ONE of the following benefits after spending meaningful time with their Touchstone:
Bonus dice on the Remorse roll — At the end of a session where the vampire has accumulated Stains, they roll Remorse to resist losing Humanity. If they spent meaningful time with their Touchstone during that session, they add bonus dice equal to the Touchstone's current Bond Rank to that roll. The Touchstone does not prevent the fall — but it makes the vampire more capable of feeling the weight of what they did, which is the only thing that can stop it..
Recover Aggravated Willpower damage — The connection restores something that discipline and blood cannot. Recovered Aggravated Willpower cannot exceed the character's maximum Willpower. How much is actually recovered depends on the significance of the scene — seeing your Touchstone from across the street is not the same as sitting with them through something that matters.
The Bond Rank is always a ceiling, never a flat reward. The Storyteller decides how much of that ceiling the scene actually reaches. A brief, surface-level interaction with a Rank 4 Touchstone might justify 1 or 2 bonus dice. A scene of genuine recognition — where the Touchstone sees something in the vampire that the vampire had forgotten about themselves — might justify all 4.
The Touchstone as a Character
Each Touchstone has their own character. They are not passive anchors sitting in the background waiting to be threatened — they are people, with their own lives, their own changes, and their own capacity to grow toward or away from the vampire.
The player creates them. The Storyteller brings them to life, makes them triumph, and lets them fall.
This is the core contract of the system: your Touchstone is yours to build, and the Storyteller's to inhabit. That tension is intentional. A Touchstone who disappoints the vampire's idealized image of them — who turns out to be complicated, flawed, or simply human — is not a system failure. It is the system working exactly as designed.
The Bond Rank only rises through roleplay, never through experience points. It grows as the vampire invests in the relationship — through scenes, through choices, through showing up even when it costs something. It can also fall — if the vampire manipulates or harms the Touchstone, if the Touchstone changes in ways that distance them, or if the vampire simply stops engaging. The Storyteller makes this call, because the Bond Rank reflects the true state of the connection, not the vampire's intention toward it.
So there was this enemy a ST put againts us, that was a Chimercial Dragon. We were playing with Mage, and it had the hability to have natural conutermagic. So im curious does anyone knows from what book is this Rede, i also want to used in my cronics but this master is very secretive with his thing
Like some instan win bottom? or some kind of narrativer power ?
Could be possible to have type of Symbiotic Chimera similar to Venom or Carnage ? and How would it work? like in the player make an acttack would be the sum of Strent (Chimera) + Strenght (player). ?
