My fertilisation results. TW
Hello. 42yo, turning 43 in june. This was my first round of IVF, I was on stims for 10days and these were my follicles before dual trigger:
18.8 mm (L)
17.2 mm (R)
17.1 mm (L)
16.4 mm (R)
16.0 mm (R)
13.1 mm (L)
12.0 mm (L)
11.5 mm (R)
10.9 mm (L)
8.8 mm (L)
7.5 mm (L)
7.0 mm (R)
I had egg retrieval yesterday and they got 6 eggs.
6 Retrieved
4 Mature
2 Fertilised but only 1 is a proper 2PN. The other is a 1PN and the clinic sounded like that would most likely not make a blast.
I really dont know what I was expecting but throughout the whole process, Ive tried to be neutral and not overly positive or optimistic but today I feel super low and devastated. I know I should be grateful that 1 has fertilised like normal but I just feel like this is gonna end unsuccessful.
Anyway, dont even know what Im trying to get out of this post, I just feel better writing it while trying to process everything.
