TCS prime experience 21/05/2026 (core java)

on the 20th of may (yesterday) at 2:25 i got a mail for tcs prime interview at pune, i had to travel 170km on single days notice,

the reporting time was 8:30, but i got there at 9:00, which was totally fine,

the initial registration went on till 10.45 after that i got called out for technical interview where two people asked me a questions about core java and resume

questions asked:

he asked if i have a offer in hand i told him i have a offer for 6LPA as a software tester role

a lot of core java concepts

  1. wrapper class
  2. primitive data types
  3. what is oops
  4. sldc
  5. default value of a byte
  6. and a lot more about core java

i answered these questions correct and with confidence

after that a manager entered the office he asked me weired and wrong questions based on my resume

  1. first he asked about my project, it had a little networking involved so he asked about ip ranges, he failed to ask the questions right so i was a bit confused i answered 6/10
  2. then he asked about authentication and authorization which i didn't answer right 5/10
  3. then he asked about a sql query which i answeright right 9/10
  4. the he asked about jwt token, again failed to ask right question and i was confused (he didn't know what stateless architecture was) he was still asking me about states and sessions in jwt (which i think doesn't make sense)
  5. then he told me write a bubble sort program which i fumbled, later when he was going through my code i admitted a logic mistake that i had made in my code

after this at 11.45 i was called for HR interview where a single hr was taking my interview

  1. she asked me about my family background
  2. if i am comfortable relocating
  3. how was my day
  4. she verified my engineering results and cgpa etc

i have 8.8 cgpa

so what do you think guys, what are the chances of me getting offer letter for prime,

please share your thoughts and opinions

thank you!!

what was your experience of the prime or any tcs interview and give me tips and tricks, i've put core java as my primary domain, is it fine?

also,

i am told to be there at 8.30 AM, how often does the interview starts on time?, should i be present there on time or a little late is fine,

should i get tdt event driven

so i lately came across this course
https://threedots.tech/event-driven/

i am a final year computer engineering,

have a job offer i'm going to accept for software tester (java/C#),

i am mainly backend focused working in spring boot and little bit of go

i have basic to intermediate knowledge of Go, and i'd love to work on that

so should i get this course, i am getting a regional discount on this (40% off)

also should i get this course or their other course on backend development or both

if i take this course, would it make their backend course irrelevant in some way, or the other way around,

also let me konw your review of any of their training u've taken

thank you!!
