PVE -> PVP Season | How not to start your Season playthrough

Happily playing PvE games with a friend from time to time.
Getting the itch to get back into EFT.
Friend has zero time to play.
Think to myself, "You know what, it would be fun to jump back in solo and try out this new seasonal mode."
Play the tutorial.
Feel like a pro.
Do a quick scav run just to grab some basic hideout items. Easy loot, no stress.
Decide I'm ready for the big leagues. Time to do the Tour Story and visit Interchange.
Load into the game at Emercom.
Start casually walking towards the Powerstation, taking in the sights.
DEAD.
Absolutely no idea where it came from.
Didn't even see a single scav the entire run, let alone a player.
The very first thing my PMC meets in the raid is a bullet straight to the cranium from the shadow realm.
Thank you but im good for atleast a week.
