Is Br- bromide? Where in the molecule does it bind? Is every representation of drugs that bind to ions like this? (I'm having trouble inserting the image, but it would be the tiotropium molecule)

Edit: I realized it's confusing without the image, but it's about the free Br- ion in the molecule's representation; I was unsure where it binds or what it represents.
