MNL to STL Options
Hello, flying from MNL to STL and looking at 2 possible award flights with enough points from Chase. Which seems like the better redemption to take overall?
Option 1: 12/6 MNL-SEA (PR 124) Philippine Airlines business class on 777-300ER and SEA-STL economy separate ticket for 110k miles + ~$400.
Option 2: 12/5 MNL-YVR (AC-18) Air Canada premium economy on 787-9 with YVR-DEN-STL economy same ticket for 88k miles + $110.
I will note that I am leaning towards option 2. I have the equivalent booking of option 1 for my departure route STL to MNL, as the lie flat bed matters more to me to rest well for the trip itself. Option 2 seems to be more convenient on the same ticket, lower cost and better aircraft, but obviously downgrading from business to PE. Though PAL business isn't exactly top notch!
