Crazy long load times?

I am new to Andromeda but if I keep getting these crazy long load times, I may not ever finish. It literally took almost 5-10 minutes to load into the main menu and then when I hit “Resume” it took another 5 minutes to load the save. Is this normal? My game is running on an M.2 NVME SSD with no mods. It did the same thing when I loaded it for the first time, but I figured maybe it just took that long for the first time. I haven’t had a game take that long to load since 64bit processors were a new thing we still used IDE cables for mechanical hard drives, and 2gb of ram was a LOT. Am I missing something?

I did it. “Perfect” destroy ending. I made the choice. It still hurts. I’m not sure I like it.

I know the “perfect” destroy ending is majority favorite and I finally got there. Got almost 8k readiness points. Did every side mission possible. Negotiated peace between Geth and Quarians. Entire crew survived (except the ones that die due to their story arch). Got to see Shepard breathe at the end. I made a head cannon why destroy was the one to choose. I told myself that Shepard would believe “Who am I to control a power like the Reapers? No one person should ever have that kind of power.” And “Synthesis would be forcing it on the entire galaxy.” But the more I think about it, I almost wish I had chosen control. To see EDI up on the memorial wall got to me. And the Geth that finally gained individual consciousness. Gone. If Shepard had chosen control, it was stated that he still would have kept his mind and his memories and it would’ve saved the Geth and EDI. Damn that choice was hard. The way the Catalyst said that the technology could be quickly repaired though gave me a slight hope that maybe they could eventually bring EDI back? Idk. The emotions are very high right now. If only I had time for another play through. It’s been over 10 years since my last one. Maybe I can choose Control in another 10 years. For now, I guess I’ll just go cry that it’s over.

Citadel DLC. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

*Spoilers* This is my first time ever playing this DLC. Is it just me or is the Citadel DLC incredible? The whole Shepard clone story is dumb in the most endearing and funny way. The DLC also pisses me off in the best way. The data pads left around the apartment giving more back story on Anderson so that the friendship feels even deeper before he dies. And spending the time with all the individual team members. Something about the song that Liara plays. Fleet and Flotilla with Tali. Wrex showing up just for the mission. Speaking at Thane’s memorial. All this while knowing I’ll never see them again after the next couple missions. I love it and I hate it all at the same time. When I’m not laughing I’m crying. Has brought tears to my eyes several times. I almost don’t want to go to the Cerberus base now. I just wish Mordin was here for it 😢

Why is Miranda not a good choice for the biotic barrier in ME2?

Isn’t Miranda’s entire story that she was genetically modified in every way to be the baddest badass there ever was including biotically? Obviously she is human and can’t match a justicar’s strength, but I feel like it’s odd that she can’t hold the barrier long enough. Am I missing something?

Edit: lots of good responses that make sense. Things I hadn’t thought about in that way. My curiosity is satisfied lol

The sprinting in ME2 doesn’t make any sense

Is there a reason they made Shepard’s sprinting in ME2 like a fat kid with asthma? Here is this elite super soldier that is now part cyborg and he can’t sprint more than 3 feet before running out of breath. I know in ME1 they originally didn’t have the sprint feature and then is was added in LE and I don’t remember if this was the case for ME2 but I was wondering if there were limitations that they had due to the engine they used or the coding at the time that made the sprinting so abysmal and honestly more frustrating than it was even worth with the super long cooldown time as well. In ME3 they may have gone too far in the other direction as now I can sprint for what feels like an eternity compared to the first two games, but kind of makes sense since he is part cybernetic and a highly trained and skilled super soldier. Just some shower thoughts I was having.

Just played a short mission in ME2 and it was the first time I ever brought Zaeed and Garrus at the same time. They crushed it! Never been a big fan of Zaeed but I may bring him along more often now. Anyone else like bringing the 2 of them on missions?

Maybe it is just Samara, but I played her loyalty mission for the first time last night and it felt so short. I hardly did anything. Didn’t even get to fight. And the fight between her and Morinth was quick and over with in an instant. It felt a little too easy in my opinion. Anyone else feel that way?
