Just received my first refill with Gimme. Currently under extreme heat warning and I was concerned. Box arrived and had an extra ice pack and all the were still partially frozen. Super job GIMME, HALLENDALE and Fedex!
With 1.1.41, I've been able to use record! I don't see any setting for assigning the storage location. I'd like the recording to go to my USB drive. Anyone know where recordings are saved and if that can be assigned?
Latest version finally has epg working as long as I'm not in app managed mode. New problem I'm seeing now. I have ALL CATEGORIES displaying in the playlists despite having only 7 selected in the manage categories settings. In app managed mode, I still have black screens in all playlists except favourites.
When I set everything up and choose my categories, everything looks good as long as raw provider categories and channels are used. When I turn on App managed, the only thing I see in the guide is my favorites. Everything else just shows black screen.
Also, I’m finding I can only use 2 or sometimes 3 providers. Anymore just don’t show up, even though I see the app saying things like parsing channels from those providers that don’t display for me. Hopefully new updates coming soon!
I have reverted to version 1.1.22. That’s the most usable version I’ve found lately as I was getting the black screen, blank guide and missing categories on both newer versions. For some reason, the file sizes are quite different between 1.1.22 and the newer versions. 234.5mb versus 28mb for 23 and 24.
This player has great potential and I see it taking over my old standby Tivimate. I patiently await the fixes!
