The game is bad again. When will the promised features be updated? The infamous patch 0.73—which broke the game—dropped on May 15, 2026.

I can't stand watching these "long shots," wayward passes, and overpowered interceptions anymore.

This week alone, I’ve conceded 2–3 goalsper match from long shots—with an 80% success rate for the opponent. Usually, the first long shot the opponent takes results in a goal. Sure, long shots are part of the game, but not at this frequency. In real life, you might see one or two such goals in a match, despite numerous attempts.

If we’re talking about "real-life accuracy," midfielders in actual matches often boast an 85–95% pass completion rate. In UFL, most passes end up with the opponent. Tackling is far too aggressive.

God give me the strength to hold out until they fix this.

Why did you change the game? Before patch 0.73, long shots were the main issue.

Take a look at "Kick-Off" mode; interceptions aren't nearly as intense there, and auto-defending is less effective. The result is that the mode plays brilliantly—you can build creative attacks and score beautiful goals. Let UFL matches have high scores due to fewer aggressive assists. Right now, the gameplay doesn't resemble the real sport at all.

I have a problem with the Squad Swap player Martinez promotion. Suggestion for change

I have a problem with the Squad Swap player Martinez promotion.

I completed the Martinez challenge up to Level 5, but I can't continue because I no longer have the 87-rated grey Martinez, which is also required for the next two stages.

It's possible that I used him in one of the earlier stages, or the only way to get him back is by pulling him from packs. The second option is practically impossible. I have seven other versions of Martinez, but the game only accepts the grey one.

My suggestion:

Please make Squad Swap exchange stages 1–4 repeatable an unlimited number of times instead of one-time only.

Support wasn't able to help me with this issue. UFL, please consider making this change. You're losing players because many people won't continue these challenges or spend 100 LP on exchanges if they get permanently stuck like this.

I honestly don't know what works in this game anymore. Please help. Do you have your settings all the way to the left? I've noticed that when the defensive line is high, it's hard to launch a quick counterattack.

UFL – June 2026 Update Review

👍 What I liked

  • The new PvP Tournaments mode is really fun. I hope it becomes a permanent game mode.
  • The Nike Event was great – good rewards, free to play, and easy to complete.
  • Squad Swaps are now connected with events (Nike packs and other event packs), which is a nice improvement.
  • The Cannavaro Battle Pass was excellent.
  • It is now much easier to obtain Legendary Cannavaro. The previous system, which required opening many packs with only a 2% chance, was very frustrating.
  • Roberto Carlos, Lampard, Garrincha, and Del Piero can now be earned through Squad Swaps.
  • Daily login rewards are always appreciated.
  • The Road of Raphinha event (Also listed under downsides)
  • Through balls have been improved.
  • It feels like there are fewer "scripted" matches than before.
  • Finesse shots have been improved.
    • However, yesterday I conceded three goals from finesse shots in a single match. I'm not sure if this issue has returned, so I'll keep monitoring it.

👎 What could be improved

  • I couldn't complete the STAR Pack because some required packs were only available through PvP Tournaments and ranked match victories.
  • Squad Swaps player challenges should last much longer, or even be permanent. It can be very difficult to obtain players of specific nationalities or positions within the limited time.
  • Some Road of Raphinha challenges were too difficult because of current gameplay issues. For example:
    • Win 4 matches in a row.
      • A better alternative would be: Win 8 matches in total. It would still require time but would be much more realistic.
    • Score 3 goals in the second half.
      • The problem is that many opponents leave the match when they are losing by a large margin.
  • The interception system, offsides, and basic passing are still frustrating.
  • Individual player instructions still don't work properly.
  • There is still no way to unlock the PlayStation trophy.
  • Long-range shots are too powerful.
  • Scoring inside the penalty area against a crowded defense is too difficult. The game currently rewards long shots much more than combination play or counterattacks.
  • Heading has become too weak. Even players like Haaland or Van Nistelrooy only seem to convert around 25% of their heading chances. If elite headers struggle this much, weaker players have almost no chance. On top of that, goalkeepers catch around 80% of crosses.
  • The rewards for Kick-Off and Squad League have become worse. There are fewer rewards or weaker packs. Although the player pool has changed, the chances of packing good players still seem extremely low.
    • Please consider adding a guaranteed reward after opening a certain number of Kick-Off or Squad League packs, because I've never received anything valuable from them.
  • The biggest issue remains gameplay consistency. Every week the game feels different—sometimes it's enjoyable, sometimes almost unplayable. In my opinion, the gameplay problems started after Patch 0.73.00.
  • PvP Tournament mode – it is possible to bypass the 800-point cap by playing players out of position. An additional "chemistry" cap is needed.

Tournaments PVP need a tweak

I really like this mode. I'm glad it was added, and I enjoy the overall mechanics.

There is one issue, though. When the requirement is, for example, a maximum team rating of 800, there should be an additional requirement for team chemistry.

Right now, you can simply place your players in the wrong positions to lower your team rating and meet the 800 requirement. Then, once the match starts, you can still play with a very strong squad against newer players.

That puts new players at a significant disadvantage.

It seems to me that there is no longer a limit on substitutions made during the match.

I would like to propose introducing special discounts and benefits for players who have purchased the Battle Pass.

Suggested changes:

  • Reduce the cost of skipping a challenge in the Road of Raphinha event by 50%.
  • Reduce the price of all packs by 10% when purchased with either premium currency or free-to-play currency.
  • Reduce the price of future Road... events and Battle Passes by 10%.

Why?

  • Skipping a challenge is currently very expensive at 500 LP. I understand that you need to generate revenue. However, if someone has already purchased the Battle Pass or the Road to Raphinha Premium Pass, shouldn't they receive some kind of discount as a benefit? After all, they are supporting a game that still contains many bugs.
  • The Battle Pass can often be viewed as a monthly subscription that provides you with a steady source of income, while in return players receive additional benefits, such as discounts on in-game purchases.
  • Discounts on future events and passes would encourage players to continue supporting the game and remain active. Many players have already left the game, and incentives like these could help improve player retention.

This may be a controversial idea, but I encourage other players to share their opinions or suggest improvements to my proposal.

P.S. I understand that Road to Raphinha is intended to be a challenge for players, but some of the objectives are extremely difficult. How are we supposed to complete these challenges when many game mechanics do not function properly, such as passing?

Guide to More Efficiently Obtaining the Legends Lampard, Roberto Carlos, and Garrincha (SQUAD SWAPS PROMO Challenge)

I know there’s not much time left, but this might still be useful for future challenges. The challenge is difficult and doesn’t guarantee that you won’t need to buy swaps with LP. However, it may help a bit.

1.

Collect gray players rated 55–79 and exchange them in SQUAD SWAPS Upgrades for gray players rated 80–89.

(You can obtain them from Kick Offs, SQUAD League, events, packs, selling blue players, and buying packs with blue shards.)

2.

Then:

a) Exchange gray players rated 80–82 in SQUAD SWAPS for a purple card.

b) Sell gray players rated 83–89 and buy packs for 5,000,000 CP. The pack guarantee means that every 15th pack will contain a purple player, although sometimes you’ll get gray players rated 80–89. In my experience, a purple player drops more often—usually 1–3 times within 15 packs. (I used this range, I don't have exact calculations whether it would be more profitable to replace 84-89)

3.

Exchange purple players rated 81–84 in SQUAD SWAPS for a PLAYERS pick. You can choose 1 player out of 5. There’s a good chance that one of them will be English or Brazilian.

(You can check which nationality has the most players among defenders, midfielders, and attackers, and try your luck accordingly.) Personally, I got a purple English or Brazilian player every 1–2 picks.

PS: Save your German and Italian players, because in the future we might get Del Piero or Beckenbauer.

4.

You can obtain M3 players rated 77–89 Squad Swaps Players. This is the hardest part. I supplemented it by buying the 200 SP Battle Pass packs (which guarantee an M3 player rated 77–89).

PS: Lampard 90 and Lampard 91 count toward the English player requirement in the final challenge. The same is probably true for other players as well.

Maybe someone will find this guide useful. I followed this method myself. I’m still missing 1 M3 player for Lampard, but I still have a little time left.

My Opinion on UFL After Patch 0.74.4

I wasn't planning to write this summary because I honestly didn't expect things to get this bad. I don't understand how it's possible to break the game again within a week and effectively bring it back to the state of version 0.73.00.

UFL developers, are you doing this on purpose? Maybe it's time to take a closer look at what's happening internally. Sometimes it feels like someone is actively sabotaging the game in favor of competitors like Goals or eFootball. At least those games are currently playable.

Unfortunately, this patch brought very few positives, which is quite an achievement in itself.

Positives

• Legendary Players Available

  • The opportunity to obtain Frank Lampard and Garrincha is a nice addition.
  • Garrincha seems almost cursed in UFL at this point—I'm tempted to read more about his real-life story.

• Daily Login Calendar

  • The login calendar is a solid feature and a welcome addition.

• Fabio Cannavaro Progression

  • Obtaining Cannavaro is now much easier.
  • Players can earn him simply by playing the game and completing challenges.
  • Previously, getting a Legend relied heavily on luck.

Negatives

• New Player Acquisition System

The way players such as Lampard, Garrincha, Martínez, and Dybala are obtained is a terrible idea.

It feels like an obvious cash grab that has only frustrated the community. UFL's marketing department deserves special recognition here—and not in a positive way.

Please consider:

  • Introducing nation-themed packs purchasable with in-game currency.
  • Bringing back the old 300/700 exchange packs system.

• Footy Players Are Underwhelming

The Footy players are generally weak and not very useful.

Most of them will probably end up in Squad Swap sooner or later.

What's even stranger is that some of them are tied to the World Cup despite not being selected for their national teams, such as:

  • Lukas Podolski
  • Harry Maguire

What exactly is the logic behind that?

And is the main reward of the next event really going to be Raphinha again? That would be the third version in about a month.

• Weaker Rewards

The introduction of Footy Pack Lite rewards everywhere has significantly reduced reward quality.

I've already seen them in:

  • Squad League
  • Showdown

Previously, we received useful Game Changers packs from previous months.

• Showdown Is the Worst It's Been in Months

Showdown has become one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in the last six months.

The assistance given to weaker or lower-rated players feels incredibly strong (more on that later).

• Squad League Difficulty

The difficulty level in Squad League is frustrating again.

Winning matches on:

  • Professional
  • Legendary

has become unnecessarily difficult.

• Passing Is Broken Again

  • Regular passes feel unreliable.
  • Through balls are inconsistent.
  • Building attacking combinations has become extremely difficult.

• Overpowered Interceptions

Defenders intercept almost everything.

Creating flowing attacking football is nearly impossible because every passing lane gets cut off.

• Constant Offside Calls

Even when you finally manage to make a successful pass into space, there's a good chance the receiving player is offside.

• Corner Kicks

At this point, you're more likely to concede from a counterattack after your own corner than actually create a scoring opportunity.

• Defensive Rebounds

The old issue is back:

  • You win the ball.
  • The ball immediately rebounds to the opponent.
  • You win it again.
  • It goes back to the opponent once more.

Breaking out of pressure feels impossible at times.

• Headers Are Useless

Headers are:

  • Extremely weak.
  • Difficult to execute effectively.

In my last 20 matches, nobody has scored a header against me.

Scoring one yourself often requires multiple attempts.

• Long Shots Are Still Overpowered

Meanwhile, long shots are ridiculously effective.

I'd estimate that around 90% of goals come from:

  • Long-range shots.
  • Rebounds following long-range shots.

UFL developers, please respect your player base. This issue has been reported consistently for at least six months, ever since I started playing.

A Message to the UFL Team

Wake up.

More and more players are becoming frustrated with the game.

Many have already moved to Goals or eFootball. Just look at the streamers and content creators. Most of them no longer want to play UFL as their main game and only return occasionally as a secondary option.

Just one week ago, many of them were giving positive feedback after the previous update.

You had momentum, and you threw it away.

Bonus Story – Showdown Match (Today)

Today I experienced one of the most frustrating matches I've had in a long time.

My opponent seemed to benefit from such strong assistance that I could barely do anything:

  • Posts and crossbars everywhere.
  • Every pass intercepted.
  • Most of his goals came from long-range shots outside the penalty area.

At one point, he was leading 5–1.

Around the 70th minute, he completely stopped playing to give me a chance to score another goal for my challenges.

That was genuinely kind of him.

The problem?

I still couldn't score.

Either the AI defense kept winning the ball automatically, or he had unbelievable luck.

Here are two examples:

Situation 1 – 82nd Minute

  • I win the ball from an inactive opponent.
  • I dribble past the goalkeeper.
  • I shoot with Ronaldo.
  • I somehow miss an open goal.

Situation 2 – 88th Minute

  • I win the ball from an inactive opponent.
  • My opponent deliberately moves his goalkeeper to the far right side of the goal, leaving almost the entire net open.
  • I unleash a powerful shot from around 10 meters out.
  • His goalkeeper suddenly produces the save of a lifetime and stops it.

Call it what you want:

  • Assistance
  • Scripting
  • DDA (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment)

The result is the same.

The game simply isn't fun right now.

Has anyone completed any of these challenges? Did they do it without releasing LP? Are you abandoning these trades?

Maybe the developers should reconsider the point of such challenges. There was a Garrinha Event before. This trade reminds me of that challenge. What's the point of giving impossible challenges and annoying the community?

Offside inquiry.

Do you have a problem with offside? I play on the counterattack and I get a lot of offsides in matches. It's very random and frustrating. A player is either offside when passing, or the pass takes so long that the player runs offside. This is annoying because I have about 6-8 such scoring opportunities in a match. This offside bug appeared in patch 0.73.00. Previously, offsides weren't so frequent. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I play with 30-40 ping.

There are 6 categories. The sum of the categories does not equal the player level.

Example:

83 + 86 + 95 + 90 + 74 + 93 = 521

521 : 6 = 87 score

Where does the level 95 come from?
