BIOS Issue - Acer Predator PHN16S-71 does not turn on without being plugged in.
I have had this laptop since December and it's been great. However, since the last BIOS update, performed automatically by Windows Update to v1.26, the laptop doesn't boot unless it's plugged in to a power source.
I have used the original charger of 230W, a 330W charger, and also a 100W USB-C charger and laptop boots normally as soon as it is plugged in and I can take out the charger immediately after, and it works completely fine. It's the same with hibernate. Sleep works fine.
This may have been an isolated issue, but my brother has the same laptop and suffers from the exact same problem. Also, the fact this problem started the day after the BIOS update.
I’ve already tried resetting the BIOS settings and checking Windows power options, but nothing appears out of the ordinary.
