Is this header big enough for a 69" opening?
Currently remodeling our 1993 kitchen. We want to remove these 3 windows and replace with 1 69x42 window. There is a double 2x10 header across the whole span currently, with two 2x4s upright between each window. The house is a single story ranch with truss roof, this exterior wall is parallel to the roof trusses, so they aren't resting on this wall. Will the existing double 2x10 header support the new 69" opening?
