Got my notice of hearing

My lawyer is gone until Tuesday. My first hearing. It's says I only have to come if my lawyer asks. Did anyone here go to their hearing? How did that turn out? Did anyone not go? How did that turn out? I hope i don't have to go because driving bothers my injuries. Thanks for any thoughts. Still not getting paid by wc but i am getting some ssdi payment.

Sent back to work

I'm in Michigan on workers comp, my dr gave me new restrictions and my employer accepted them. I worked 4 days and couldn't handle it. I need to quit or retire. Will I lose my ssdi? I don't mind losing workers comp payments. My ssdi is enough. Thanks for any help. I'm just scared i will lose my ssdi.

UPDATE: my newest restrictions were not accepted and I have not been asked to come back to work. Big relief. I called yesterday to see if i still had health insurance and I do. My lawyer is in contact with my employers lawyer. Lawyer is currently on vacation and will not be in until next Tuesday. I am just looking for reassurance. I'm not getting paid by wc since may

Telling my Dr I have ssdi

Can I tell my wc pain clinic dr and case manager I have ssdi? My lawyer is out of town until next Tuesday. Wc knows I have a lawyer and my lawyer is in contact with their lawyer. My Dr and case manager are concerned about me losing my job and I feel pressured and deceitful about not telling them. I am going to do whatever my lawyer says. Thanks for any advice

Had my ime

I had my ime. I am wondering how long it will take before my analyst gets the results? I haven't been paid since early may. My lawyer knows all this except he is out of the office until Tuesday and I can't ask him. Thanks for any help.

Ready to settle

I'm ready to settle and hopefully I can keep medical open. Is this possible in Michigan? I just told my lawyer i want to settle. Have not heard back from him yet. Thanks for any help.

Settling

I want to settle my claim and keep medical open as I still need 2 surgeries. Ulnar nerve entrapment on my right elbow and a possible fusion in my neck. Is this possible? My lawyer says I can't quit, get fired or retire or it will make my case worth less. He thinks it will be worth 10,000 if i quit retire or get fired. I'm sick of dealing with it.

Restarting ssdi

Update: I was mistaken. My ssdi payment date is the 4th Wednesday of the month not the 3rd Wednesday like i thought. The 4th Wednesday is next Wednesday. Maybe my ssdi payment isnt stopped

I went back to work 4 days and my ssdi payment stopped. I couldn't handle it and I am not going back. Is it easy to start my ssdi back up? Thanks

Will I owe my attorney money if I get fired, quit, or retire from my job?

My ncm asked my wc dr to put some restrictions on me and my employer is honoring them. I was previously not allowed to work by my employer. I went back and it hurts too much to work. My fingers are still numb and my pain between my shoulders is increasing. Also my headaches are worse. I hid in the bathroom several times each day because it hurts so bad. I made mistakes because the pain is making it hard to think. My lawyer told me to try and get my pain clinic Dr to take me back off work Monday. I tried to find my paper work from my lawyer but it's lost in the move. I had to sell my house because wc pay wasn't reliable. I've been off work since April 30th 2025. Carpal tunnel ulnar nerve compression and a bunch of bulging discs, stenosis, and bone spurs in my neck. I got approved for ssdi in March and it's enough. I'm just worried about the lawyer charging me because I can't handle back to work and im probably going to get fired for being absent

How long does sedgewick have to get my myleogram scheduled? The scheduling company texted me to tell them my free times to make my appointment but I have not heard from them since last week ? I have carpal tunnel, ulnar nerve entrapment and c567 stenosis and bulging discs. 22 years factory production work. Thanks for any help and advice

Back to work with restrictions

Im 61yo. My ncm had my Dr add restrictions to my off work note. My employer said they would honor them. My podiatrist wrote a note for 40 hours a week because that is all my sore feet allow me to work without extreme pain that pain relievers don't fully relieve. Dr wrote no use of upper right extremity. I've been off work since April 30, 2025. I have been approved for ssd and just got my first payment this April.

My area between my shoulders in my spine hurts constantly and my mris show degenerative disc and stenosis with bulging discs. My neurosurgeon suggested a fusion there. I'm waiting for an approval to get a myleogram from wc. I also have ulnar nerve entrapment in my right arm that causes my rt hand to be partially numb. I really want to get my surgery on my hand and get 2nd opinion on my cervical fusion too. I'm going to try to work but I am scared it is going to hurt more if I am driving to work and doing my job with restrictions.

My lawyer said do the best I can and go back to my Dr ASAP if I can't handle it and have him take me off work again due to the pain.

Looking for any advice and encouragement. Thanks in advance!

I really want relief from my pain. I have tramodol and ibuprofen and Tylenol and pain patches but they don't help a lot when im active and im worried I will get another ulcer

Sedgewick hasn't paid me much in April. Only 84$ approximately. Ssd paid me almost 700$. Will ss make up the amount that wc missed? Up to my normal amount of ssd? I just started getting my ssd in April. Can ss back pay me for April? Thanks for any help. My lawyer said let him know when im ready to get him involved. I really need surgery on my carpal tunnel and maybe my neck. So I want to keep my cobra and wc payments going. The injury was 4/07/2025

What plans do you all like for alternatives to cobra. I've got about 2 years until I can get Medicare and I am trying to plan ahead. I'm pretty sure im going to have to lose my job because im on workers comp and im in Michigan and sedgewick is not reliable for paying my weekly payment. I sure appreciate any advice on this. Thank you
