Percy's Odessey and The Labors of His Child
# The premise
30 years after the Battle of Half-Blood Hill of the Second Gigantomachy. Percy is missing after a quest that took him to China. His child now has to retrace the father's steps, taking the kid from New Rome to Camp Half-Blood to Greece, in order to learn more about the father and the quest he took before he went missing. All the while, Percy had to make the journey back to America, as Odesseus did to Ithaca, facing monsters from other pantheon and old enemies looking for revenge. In New Ithaca, its architect, Annabeth waits for her husband. There is a convergence of prophecies, all ancient tradition points to a single event coming to pass. The former Lester probably knew about it. Will he seek audience with Huitzilopochtli. Maybe Amaterasu had something to say about his haikus? Surya and Sol hadn't stop laughing about his mortal misadventures for sure.
# Ideas
So obviously its The Odessey on the side of Percy and the Labors of Heracles on the side of his child.
The "Trojan" Quest, the quest that took Percy to China. Why didn't Annabeth comes with him? Who else comes with him in this quest? Grover? Clarisse? Piper? Dakota? Frank? Does the quest have anything to do with other pantheon. Perhaps a Hindu-Buddhist hero requires Percy's help. Or is there something more sinister with the convergence of prophecies.
The gender and age of Percy's child is up to you. You want to make him a 12 yo like how his father started? Or you want to make her an adult who already knows how the world works? Up to you.
What are the labors the kid had to do? Is it a one to one tasks as Heracles? Or maybe with a twist.
The 108 suitors of Annabeth can be up to you. You want to actually make 108 incels looksmaxers swoning over her? Or maybe take some liberty and its 108 armies of a coalition of pantheon marching towards New Ithaca.
Yes, New Ithaca instead of New Athens. Where did they build it, how why? Up to you. Maybe it's just a house she and Percy built together during their honeymoon. Maybe an actual city of Greek demigods in Long Island.
As for The Convergence of Prophecies, this aspect is to get the events from the angle of the gods. And not just Apollo. What was Hermes's connections with Thoth, or even Anubis. Maybe the gods need The Thrice Great now more than ever. Was that who Hecate was praying to in the Son of Magic, or was that just Jesus H Christ. Should we bring back Prof. Claymore? Is there a biggest fish? A capital G God. Impersonal. Whoose power not tied to worship, tradition, or culture. Indifferent. Lovecraftian.
