Percy's River Cousins & Proactive Poseidon

What if Poseidon after fucking up by getting Sally pregnant decided on the best course of actions to not only shield his child from the Olympians but to give him family? What if Poseidon called up his son Anteros (god of requited love) and had him search Manhattan for New Yorkers most compatible with the Gods of the Hudson and East Rivers, manipulating it so the two river gods impregnated a dozen people (mostly women but some men too) who would raise them right there in Manhattan?

What if by the time the Percy is born, there are another dozen demigods with the energy of the water emanating from them, convincing the Olympians above that Percy was just another of the River Children?

What if Poseidon had Oceanids disguise themselves as mortals to keep a constant eye on Percy with weekly reports back to Poseidon, all under the guise of keeping the hoard of river demigods residing in Manhattan in check?

What if Poseidon continued to act through the River Gods and even had the Hudson leave a gift of a bracelet that turns into a spear for Percy on his 10th birthday?

What if when the time came, Poseidon pretended to have owed the two River Gods a debt which he repaid by allowing their children to reside in the Poseidon Cabin? Poseidon even convincing the Hudson that Percy was his child because he felt close enough and the Hudson was a terrible father, lol, leading to Percy being claimed as a Son of the Hudson,

Imagine the Poseidon Cabin packed with thirteen demigods all with too much water power and no self-control. The prank wars, capture-the-flag games, and rivalries would be legendary.

Imagine the Battle of the Labyrinth led by the Poseidon Cabin drowning armies of monsters and maybe even working together to collectively take down Kampê.

I think it'd be natural for Percy to learn he's actually the Son of Poseidon but keep it secret until the Battle of Manhattan, but there's a lot of directions one could take it

Why reading/watching the books never get to the good parts?

I feel like they always start good with Lightning Thief and then you likely get a Sea of Monsters and maybe MAYBE you get Titans Curse, but I never see any that get to the end of the war?

Like people, I wanna see the Reactions of when people are actually dying? I wanna see the gods upset about their kids dying in the last Olympian.

I wanna see the other demigods reacting to the death of their friends and family.

But no it’s always the same thing with the Lightning Thief, and I understand cause it would be awkward to start at the later half of the books without doing the first, but authors get burnout.

And again, understandable. I’m not an author but I imagine it gets tiring, basically rewriting a whole book plus all the reactions and conversations.

But I wanna see the actual climax of the series. I would like to see the gods reaction to Kampe and the battle of the labyrinth.
Maybe some regret with calypso or them to double down on her punishments.

The flying pig that no one has ever killed in history but then Percy does that.
Or taking a dip in a certain river downstairs and then beating up hades like he owes him money.

Apollo reacting to (was it Lee or Mitchel ) dying on the bridge.
And of course seeing dearest father/grandfather Kronos.

Just all the good stuff ya know, not the waterpark or medusa for the 50th time.

Mark of Athena told from Percy's first person perspective

I remember reading a fanfic called, "Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Mark of Athena" where Percy narrates in his own first person perspective the judo-flip scene.

Any works where Heroes of Olympus is retold from Percy's narration? He never finished his narration to you the reader. He wrote the book like a letter to you. "I didn't look back" is not the end to "Look I didn't want to be half-blood." The seven prophecy promised us so much in The Last Olympian but instead we get a One Piece-esque fanfiction.

Disclaimer: My personal opinion. To those who liked Heroes of Olympus I don't think it was a bad story, just a bad sequel to Percy's story.

Alt styles of the Big 3 kids

So mostly everybody knows that the big 3 kids (Thalia, Nico, & Percy) have alt styles with Thalia being punk, Nico being a mix of goth and emo, and Percy being skater boy/grunge (if you didn't know that about Percy now you do). We obviously didn't know Bianca enough for her to get an alt style plus the added fact she was a huntress; but if we remove these factors would Bianca have an alt style of some sort or would her upbringing of raising Nico and trying to stay out of trouble make her dress in a more a-typical, blend into the crowd sort of way.

Family built on the Weary Question

Ok so I’ve read the Family Built on the Weary series probably four times, and I love the foreshadowing, but does anyone know what this line means? “the one of cresting waves; the one of poisoned sight”. The cresting waves bit is self explanatory, but the poisoned sight bit, specifically the SIGHT, what does it mean?!? Anyone know?

Percy is Mount Olympus' Neil the seal, an Eldritch demigod idea.

I thought about funny Sea child Idea of a feral Gerlim Percy who is taken from the sea, by the Olympians and now makes it their problem now. Kid-fic where Percy is small and always squaring up with Ares and causing chaos. Poseidon is displeased that his son is missing, and Sally is ready to storm Mt Olympus.

characters read the pj books

looking for a specific characters read pj books fic where they were on the Argo and i'm 99% sure it was after Tartarus, they were on the deck when the arai came and one was meant for Percy one for Anabeth but Percy killed both causing both curses to be placed on him. everyone on the ship is transported to Olympus i think it was while two beings i forget who make it so the curses aren't as bad on Percy (pretty sure that part was from this fic but could be wrong) anyways so yea they all read or watch Percy's life and hes cursed to feel it i think it was

Niche Myths Recommendation

I'm currently writing a longfic centering my own Seven made up of my OCs. I'm trying to avoid having to reread the entire series to preserve the relative canon compliance of the fic, so what are some niche myths that don't appear in the franchise you'd like to see reimagined? I basically don't want to have to fit my story that close to canon.

Writing a fic centering a child of Venus who’s descended from Hades!

This is Aiya Shizume. She is fifteen years old, Japanese, and a Pisces. She comes from a long line of wealthy and infamous monster hunters. Long ago, she was given a prophecy and told her that she was to be the glory for her family. Aiya made that her life’s mission, so now she’s unraveling exactly what it means. She’s realizing it might just have something to do with that strange duo of demigods who arrived at her boarding school yesterday…

Ideas for my Percy Jackson fic

So, I’m pretty new to the Percy Jackson fandom. I’ve only read the first two books and have seen the two movies. I have not seen the series yet. I’m working on my first Percy Jackson fic. I’m using Sam Claflin as one of my original characters and I need some ideas for who his parent could be. Some ideas I had was being the only son of Hera. Or maybe a son of Eros.

long-range weapons for Percy?

If Percy ever gets a long-range or mid-range weapon what would it be? It's actively canon that Percy is EXTREMELY terrible with a bow but that's not the only weapon with far range what if he was given throwing knives or a javelin perhaps even a slingshot or even something mildly ridiculous such as a harpoon gun. Tell me what you think.

Fanfic Ideas(Please rate them in order best to worse)

1- Percy Jackson is not just a child of Poseidon but Neptune as well. Apparently demigods of both world are very similar to gods in which they can have split personalities . Percy fights unpredictability like the sea, Perseus fights like he’s as inevitable as a storm, Percy is loyal to people, Perseus is loyal to a cause, Percy loves Annabeth, Perseus does not… Can Percy and Perseus reconcile in time to win the war. (Starts in Mark of Athena)

2- Percy Jackson is fated to be a God. It didn’t matter how many times he rejected it, his course had been set. He was already walking the path of Dionysus, despite his protests he was already being worshipped. And as much as his closest friends denied it, they knew how much better the world would be if he sat on that council.

3- Leo doesn’t fire on Rome. The seven are not forced to leave in a hurry. The senate that was supposed to happed did and instead of sending Percy they chose Reyna. Octavian argues that they shouldn’t send their “Giant Killer“ over seas, and that a Praetor of Rome if a praetor of Rome wasn’t enough than the Greeks will get no help from Camp Jupiter. In reality he thinks a son of Neptune is a much easier political opponent than Reyna. Now Reyna is forced to deal with a quest she doesn’t belong on while Percy deals with the ruthless politics of New Rome.

Best badass Percy fics.

Where Percy truly lets out, he’s trying his hardest to beat Kronos and we seen him training and figuring out just how much of his parents domain he inherited.

Doesn’t even have to be a child of Poseidon. Any bashing is fine. Any ships. (Though if he’s not with Annabeth that just a plus)
