Meowdy! Here's a full minute of pure silliness from our lil guy :)

sorry for the hiatus, mental health took a nose dive + his eye infection started back up so I've been focused on that. he's doing much better and growing like a little weed, he's over 6 times the cat he was when I got him!

I'm doing my best to figure out how to keep him tbh, need to set up more kitty infrastructure so my existing space is big enough!

thanks for loving Pocket with me, if you have the time and resources please check in with your local shelters and rescues for volunteer work or donation opportunities! They're likely PACKED right now and it's so fulfilling helping these little guys get the best chance at life they can!

anyway, pocket has been fighting my hands while I type this so I'm going to go get Eaten, see y'all later :)

He's thriving :) he's starting playing with my other cat Beatrice, and she lets him win their fights which doesn't help his ego but he deserves it all so what are we to do ya know. he's huge, super fuzzy, and FAST and an excellent climber. I feel he will soon break free and begin his conquest of all the light touches. sorry for no updates, depression does depression things on occasion, but at least I've got this little guy to make my days better :)

my very first post of our little pocket was of his wiggly piggly ears, and heres a wonderful update! they still wiggle :) in fact, there's much MORE ear to wiggle! he's so ears.

One of our other cats has warmed up nicely to Pocket, though she's still figuring out how to cat herself (stray) so it's been interesting lol

otherwise he's playing more and more, becoming SO fast, and starting to clean himself! our lil guy is growing up 🥹

Meowdy! lil photo dump for today of my sweet little guy. wanted to also say some things!

1★ yes, he was away from momma too early, I've had him since he was 4 days old. it was an emergency foster situation.

2★ yes, he eats. I occasionally take videos of him suckling on my hand or biting my arm/fingers but that's ALWAYS either while we're waiting on the bottle to get to temp, or during a break from the bottle where I get him to burp and whatnot. but all in all I know what I'm doing! the baby eats! so much! he's so large!!

3★ health wise he's doing absolutely fine, no more goopy eyes, working on finishing up that umbilical situation! he's so strong it's so crazy. his teeth are coming in, and he is USING them. my other cats have started to accept him as a Cat and not just a Weird Rat so that's been fun to watch.

all in all, thank you for loving my boy, and the vast majority of you have been insanely chill, it does grind my gears a bit when I get comments implying I'm not caring for him properly. it would seem the foster flair would help but I don't think most people (myself included) check flairs often unfortunately. anywho, see ya later alligators

lil man is thriving, genuinely don't have much to say. he's starting to walk confidently, his tummy is great, he's a little star. he's still got the tiny kitten shakes but he'll be moving up to the big boy box very very soon

Meowdy! No updates the last couple days because I was focused on lil man developing an umbilical hernia :) neato! he's trying it all I suppose, can't miss out on a single experience. we do have a treatment plan for him, no worries. he's also playing though! it's soooo cute he always flips over to his back to fight off the mighty hand.... and eventually conk right out 😴 purrs like a lil motor boat the whole time too it's adorable.

I took out his blanket and towel from his crate to wash and put in a different blanket and he had WORDS and OPINIONS on that. I think it'll be another week if that before lil man moves up to the big boy crate! despite trying every kitten illness little man has had such a bright personality and hilarious energy, he's brought such light into my life :> See ya next time!

unzipped his lil cave to feed him this morning and he just ran right out like he's been runnin his whole life I was astounded, he only tumbled once and he recovered beautifully! his eyes are looking lovely again after a relatively goopy yesterday, he's gaining weight like crazy, and he peed like eighteen gallons of pee on me so he's definitely hydrated lol. otherwise not much to report he just sleepin and working on figuring out his lil legs.

additionally, been getting a lot of comments implying pocket is actually a girl, posting a pic in the comments showing exactly why I know he is a boy to settle this once and for all lmao

HES SO BIG he's almost a two hander now which is insaneeee. he still oopy goopy but doing so so well, and he's decided to start growing teeth???? not sure why he thinks he needs those but I feel like my time on this earth is limited. once he has teeth what could possibly stop him???? he's starting to get so much more adventurous with his exploring instead of just trying to get back to my hand or armpit as quickly as possible. proud of my boy I do wish he'd slow down a little tiny bit on the growing though! he's so greedy he even wants to get bigger faster!

Wonderful news pockets eyes are looking absolutely incredible, nearly gunk free already! We will absolutely be finishing the antibiotics though don't worry. he is still pretty sneezy so we're keeping an eye on that but he's doing so well otherwise.

he's also 190 grams today, so he's nearly double the pocket he was when I first posted him. he's started spending some time just staring at my face so I think he's really starting to process that visual information he's getting!

he's also been practicing walking more, and he usually takes this route so he can try to climb the couch but this time I think he forgot 🥹 am I going to hell for laughing oh absolutely but little man didn't even realize it happened and was purring up a storm when I extracted him bahaha

he's got the cutest lil piggy stripes on his back. I'm keeping the lights low so his eyes can heal up but once they're on I'll to get a good picture of em :)

Lil man is doing well! he's getting so so big already, and this morning he at least had both eyes open and goopy instead of stuck shut! he's starting to appreciate his warm eye compresses instead of trying to eat them and me while screaming so that helps a lot lol. he's starting to get pretty sneezy but we're letting the antibiotics run their course!

his favorite spot to sleep is still a hand, and he experienced the joys of sleeping by a laptop last night. he's also discovered that the weird fuzzy fingers he keeps eating are actually his own legs and feet but that has not stopped him from nomming his own toes. later once he's awake again I'll try to get a lil video of him walking if he's feeling up to it :)

He played with my fingers!!! rolled over onto his back and batted at em until he could grab on and EAT ME!!!!! I'm so happy he feels up to play for the first time while sick, shows what a strong little guy he is!

he ALSO started walking without his lil belly on the ground! his leggies are fully under him now and he's almost what I could attempt to describe as sturdy and stable. if I were to be like, lying a little bit bahaha. he's so wobbly but so so confident.

just wanted to tell y'all about him playing because omg I was so excited

Lil man has both eyes squeezed shut now, I'm on full time goop removal duty. His goop has been replaced by the medicine goop and while I was poking and prodding he decided he was absolutely done with all of this and crawled into my hand and I almost cried he's just so tiny 🥹

I'm sick as well and craving some bingsu, and I'm sure he is currently dreaming happily of consuming entire nations. thanks for joining me for your (sorta) daily Pocket Watch

update on our boy Pocket! he will be getting some ointment for a while, hopefully picking it up later today! his appetite is strong and he's still movin and groovin and YELLIN when I DARE to get rid of the goop on his eye. he worked hard to create that goop dangit. he has an absolutely full belly here, he just wanted a lil pacifier to get to sleep and if I get a hickey on my fingertip then by god that's a decent price to pay.

lil man is up to 165 grams and I believe he will simply continue to grow if allowed. who would dare stop him? he will blot out the sun and his rage will consume all. but first, he needs a lil nap. to gather strength, no other reason.

I have summoned to date 28 sunsquawks. I have summoned to date 5 twin toed flameskins, and one of those was a direct forced item summon. there is currently a sunsquawk in my summoning circle as I type this. what was there before you ask? a duskclaw I obviously force summoned. before that? oh I'm so glad to tell you it was another sunsquawk.

the two tropical dragons are, theoretically, equivalent rarity. the only difference is sunsquawk is wind and flameskins is water. statistically this does not make sense. I haven't summoned ONE dusky tuft since bonding it. this does not make sense either. not one. like I understand rng. I do. I get statistics. which is why I KNOW that something has got to be wrong. if the Sunsquawk wasn't a 6 hour egg for some reason maybe this would feel less frustrating but I just close the game when I see her pop up a tropical summon at this point.

and frankly, even if it IS balanced and my luck is actually just this awful, there's no way it should be a 6 hour egg 😭 utter insanity. the zodiac dragon takes 2 hours to hatch. you can make 3 of them in the time it takes to make ONE sunsquawk. I hate them. it went from one of my favorite designs to one I keep in storage permanently. I genuinely love this game and got all of my friends on it but we're ALL tired of seeing this guy.

eta: it doesn't matter what summoning items I use btw. it can be a +50% water and it'll still be a sunsquawk. I do the 10% trick. I don't put wind on there anymore just to try to avoid the Sunsquawk. it doesn't work. they haunt me. they want my forest to look like the Amazon. I do not want that.

meowdy, sorry it's been a bit. bringing pocket to the vet today as he's decided his left eye should be swollen and gunky :( he's growing like a weed though and his lil ears are starting to unpin from his lil head so that's very cute. posting pictures from yesterday I took to monitor how things were going (foster mentor said it was possibly allergies as mine were also bad yesterday and to just keep watching it) it looks a lot worse today unfortunately. he's still tiny and full of rage though he is sleeping a lot more than I'd like :( hopefully we can get him up and feeling better

he's doing SO well, his eyes are GIANT and he is OBSERVIN the world. mostly to find a soft cozy spot to sleep. all in all, nothing much new to report, he's still ittle, he's still Scream, he's still eat people. but most importantly, he's still got wiggly, wiggly ears.

a minute and a half of tiny baby noises and a sleepy SLEEPY pocket. little dude is getting SO big, and he's getting stronger every second. I fear it may be a Clifford situation, only greed instead of size. he wants it all and he wants it NOW give your hand IMMEDIATELY he must rest upon it. your fingers are FORFEIT to his hungry mouf. your arm also. and your leg. and your tummy. and that wet wipe. and also that toothbrush you're wiping his mouth with STOP IT he is CLEAN ignore the milk all over him that's NOTHING. do NOT resist or he will SCREAM and no one wants that. jokes aside thanks for following along with my little guy as he becomes ever larger, I'm excited to see what little one accomplishes once his legs are truly in his control.

pocket update! working on opening that second eye, he's just gotta see it all! umbilical cord fell off, meanwhile some HUGE poops are occurring. little man is THRIVING. he's also up to 128 grams which is CRAZY he's gained 20 with me in just a few days. he will one day tower over us all, rivaling the sky itself. he's a tiny bit damp in the video from toothbrush cleanin, and currently asleep on my chest cozy and dreaming, making tiny, tiny biscuits.

He has now decided being the smallest and loudest and most carnivorous isn't enough. he has to See! lil man started peeping one eye yesterday, and upon waking up this morning he decided to fully be a little pirate. currently he is yelling because I fed him but didn't put the blanket back over him. his demands come with great promises of criminal activity if ignored, I fear I must comply with his every wish.
