Tried turning one of my old rock demos into a music visualizer last night

Been having an old rock tune on my desktop for months. Last night, I did a spontaneous experiment with freebeat to see if it would match the song.

I thought it would be very run-of-the-mill, but some parts actually matched the vibe of the song better than I thought, In particular the chorus. But, the scenes repeated a lot, and some transitions got a bit weird when the song went past the 2-minute point.

Anyway, it was a great moment to see a rough cut develop into a visually enjoyable video without having to spend hours working in Resolve manually cutting clips to the beat. I wouldn't say that I'd use it for every project. Yet, it turned out to be more interesting than I had anticipated.

Working through the second trimester with back pain...

I’m currently in my second trimester and the weight is really starting to take a toll on my lower back. I’m still working full time at an office so I’m sitting for most of the day and it’s becoming quite painful.

I’ve been looking into getting a lumbar support cushion to help. I see so many options on Shein and other sites but the reviews are so mixed that I’m having a hard time deciding. Has anyone here used one for their office chair during pregnancy? Did it actually make a noticeable difference or was it just another thing that didn't work? I’d love to hear your experiences or any other tips for surviving an office job while pregnant!

Left photo: last summer. I was uncomfortable in my own skin but kept telling myself it was "fine."

Right photo: this week. 8 months of actually being consistent.

What I did:

  • Calorie deficit (ate at ~1,500 cal/day, tracked with MyFitnessPal)
  • Strength training 4x/week (started with just dumbbells at home)
  • 8–10k steps daily
  • Cut out alcohol completely

Honestly the biggest thing wasn't the diet or the workouts - it was just not quitting when it got boring. No magic supplement, no crazy protocol.

Happy to answer questions. You've got this. 💪
