Favourite performances this year?
Attended 3 days in tokyo this year. Some of my favourites were:
- l’arc en ciel’s circle pits were crazy fun to observe from the stands. Really great show
- Sakanaction was great. This was my third time seeing them at Summer Sonic, and although I think artistically / setlist wise the 2019 show was the best one, the energy and the presentation was so great this year. Love the lasers, the lights, the videos. You could really feel their growing popularity (yoru no odoriko helps!), it was up there with l’arc with the audience engagement.
- Pasocom Music Club: These guys are great and had put in A LOT of effort into their set. Was fun to see Satoko Shibata guest!
- odd:re: Best new band for me. Such a variety of genres, musicianship and amazing vocals. Great visuals too.
- Tatsuya Kitani: Really talented dude and just a great show.
