New shifting tool idea !!
A while ago, while I was scrolling through tiktok, I found a video of a shifter (I don't remember who, it was a moot of mine, I think, but I'm not going to go through the trouble of figuring that out now) showing a website they had developed that featured their bedroom (I believe) and things from their DR (like a diary ect). I found the idea interesting, especially since you were able to interact with some object, but I didn't think much of it until today.
As I was going ok about my day, I wondered about how I could develop my family tree, mostly since it's quite complex and big and a visual would help, and I eventually found myself thinking back on that website. I couldn't remember at all if other shifters could use it to make a similar thing like the shifter that had created it did; however, the idea of having or developing a website where you could do not only that but possibly interacting with other shifters with similar DRs peaked my interest.
There are already a few tools at our disposition like Notion (for scripts) and Lifa App (for a bit of everything), but I personality feel like none helps with connecting with your DR, which, from what I've seen by interacting with a few other baby shifter, seems like a problem some might struggle with, and building a string community (in a way). I've always liked to talk about my DR and hear other people talk about theirs, expecially if we have similar ones, since it gives me the feeling that we're all connected, and having a website or an app where you could do so easily and even try to help other shifters that are having trouble with things you may or may not have figured sounds like a dream to me.
Personally I have a few ideas of my own I'd like to share about this, since I can't really put in the work myself since I lack codding skills, among others that would be needed to pull something like this off. But here are just a few:
- Main page where we can look up DRs that are sorted into categories (Fame DRs - including K-pop DRs, Influencer DRs, Streamer DRs, ect; Media DRs - Harry Potter DRs, PJO DRs, Maze Runner DRs, ect; Better CR DRs; ect); in the future we could have a few motivational quotes related to shifting, for example, Shifting found you, ect.
- Timeline division for each DR category as to allow people to choose whether they want their Fame DR to be set in the 80s, for example.
(This so people with similar DRs have an easiler time finding eachother and categorise their one DR portals when making them)
- Ability to set time in your portal to match your DR (including resetting days and freezing time, like in the Lifa App).
- Building your room (could be anything as long as it's from DR and you connect deeply with it/is important to you) with a real life scale and possibility of uploading models that aren't available.
- Ability to create colour pallets which you can share with others.
- Possibility to add objects around the room that you can interact with (diaries, wands, windows, wardrobes, animals, ect).
(This for the general room)
- Creating a profile for each DR that other shifters can view (including essencial items, a few traits, family tree, ect).
- Ability of others interacting with objects in the room aside from you (without making changes) and maybe adding noises for some interactions or lines.
- Conversation section where you can discuss with other shifters about their DRs (in their rooms) or yours (in your room).
Of course there would be guidelines and all and I would turn this idea into real life if I knew shifters that could code or make 3D models, but I don't, so I'm just really throwing this around the air (I still made a few pics showing what it could look like, it's ugly but it's only meant to serve to help visualise how it wpuld work ig).
