Hello everyone!

I have made a reservation at the VFS center and is still in process of uploading my documents, however, I have no information about whether the UKVI demands to show the source of funds that have to be used for studies at the university. While the UKVI claims that they only need a travel document and a bank statement, I have read about some cases in which UKVI demands additional documents with information about where did these money come from.

Additional information: the funds are currently on my bank account in another country and this account is opened on my name. These funds are, in fact, my family savings that were accumulated for several years, and therefore, there won’t many documents left to confirm this.

I would be grateful for any information on this matter.

Future PGT student here. I was given an option to get into the Student Apartments as accommodation option, but I can’t find much information about it in this subreddit. What should expect from this place, and is it a relatively tolerable place to stay for 1-year study term?

An unconditional offer holder here (LLM). I’m planning to study during the 2026/2027 term and I’m desperately curious about how much money do you usually need per month to live in a relative comfort in Glasgow (excluding accommodation expenses).

Any thoughts on that matter would be welcome.
