Considering going back to renting, advice??

First time home buyer, I bought my house 3 years ago and seriously considering selling and going back to renting. The house feels like too much (3 bed/2ba/3car garage), cleaning it is annoying, heating and cooling it is annoying, repairing it is annoying and the payment has gone up almost 500/mo since I bought due to property tax increases. (1400 to 1850 i take home about 4500 after taxes each month) I could rent a home with one less bedroom and a smaller garage in my area for about 900 less a month than im paying right now and that seems like a much better financial situation. Plus all the money id save on not repairing anything (pretty much have eaten through all the savings I have fixing stuff). I seriously feel house poor and its the worst. I dont want to sell and regret it in 3 years though so im not sure what to do! Anyone been in a similar situation before and actually benefited from going back to renting or am I being crazy??
