French buddy cop movie grizzled corrupt cop with a tiny moral compass gets partnered with a new by the book.
I remember watching this in the 80s I think, maybe 90s. Old French cop skims off his beat but ultimately doesn't let peeps take it too far, is partnered with a new guy out of the academy, pressed suit and by the book, and has to learn about the reality, or something. I don't even remember the plot aside from the partner conflict.
