My barrel pond is getting a bit bland... it used to be more exciting to look at a few years ago but all the flowers/exciting plants rotted or died off and now I'm just left with some grass and submersibles that you can't really see.

I'd be happy basically starting over again, but, if anyone's got any ideas how to jazz it up a bit, I'm all ears! I'd love to add stones in there but would probably need a lot as it's quite a deep barrel.

Don’t know if there’s anything wrong with my SOP. It might be a bit undernourished but it’s on the bathroom so the air is moist a lot of a time and right by a window… maybe it’s getting too much light.

Gave my pond plants a much needed trim. They’d clogged up the entire barrel. Now they’ve got room to breathe and regrow. Nothing like the sound of gently splashing water in on a sunny day.
