note.

Hi my lovely juniors. A very congratulations to all of you who got admission here for BTech. I know many of you wanted CSE or AI but hey, chill. Every branch here is the best in academics.

I know it's the beginning and many of you might be excited or nervous for your college, trust me I too was in your shoes last year.

Many of you DMed me about your rank, your admission queries, hostel accommodation and much much more, and I'm really glad that I could try my level best to answer your problems. I'm pretty sure you might've been reassured with the crazy thoughts you had while asking me the questions.

Now, since you'll be in the first year, I'd like to share some of my experiences that you'll keep in mind.

  1. On my very first day, I was really confused about my classes and the department. For all branches, in the first year, the major classes are generally conducted in a common department. For me, it was Surya Mandir. The labs and other classes are organized in different departments.
You'll be provided with the class section, practical batch name, time table and your roll number before your classes begin.

  2. Many of you will definitely feel homesickness during initial days, it's really important to make friends here as the environment is already packed with restrictions. So keep on interacting with people of this sub to never feel lonely there!

  3. Teachers are generally lenient for initial days so if you don't have khadi, you can wear cotton kurtis, but on a safer side please keep atleast 3-4 suits for specific occasions or fests.

  4. We have an annual fest called Apaji Mela held in November on the occasion of the birth anniversary of our founder. You can wear sarees or fancy suits for the event. And for the Dandiya, bring a nice dress or lehenga for the Garba Night.

  5. The theory classes are generally Non-AC, so to avoid heat in the classrooms, bring a bottle of cold water. For travelling from hostel to class, cover yourself, take an umbrella and apply sunscreen to avoid tan.

  6. Many hostels face theft, it's advised to avoid keeping cash or if you want to, then safely lock it into your wardrobe and write your name on your belongings.

  7. Many girls are sometimes found littering the washrooms and hostels, so kindly maintain hygiene and throw your waste in the dustbin itself.

  8. A quick advice coming from a sister, never trust anyone too easily. You never know the other person's intentions so do not share your secrets with anyone unless and until you have full faith on her.

Let's come to another point. So I am selling some products that you'd need in your first year as I too needed them.

a) ED Sheet Holder (for Engineering Drawing)

b) Blue Lab Coat (for Engineering Workshop)

c) Handwritten notes of :
- Chemistry (Full syllabus)
- Modern Physics (Full syllabus)
- EVS notes (Teacher's full syllabus)
- Applied Optics
- Thermodynamics
- C Language (for CFP)

d) Teachers' Handouts and Syllabus PDF

e) Soft Copies of Textbooks provided by Teachers

f) Periodical Tests PYQs (All Subjects)

For those who wish to buy these, can dm me.

I hope Banasthali makes you feel safe and focused.
Peace
xoxo<3

OKAY LISTEN

girls who are dming me the rank lemme clear this up!

• RANK UNDER 300 and Date of Counselling is 4/5 July : High chances for getting your first preferred branch (whatever branch you selected as "1")

• RANK UNDER 500 and Date of Counselling is 4/5 July : Low chances for CSAI but High chances for CSE.

• RANK UNDER 700 and Date of Counselling is 5/6 July : CSAI closes so no chances for CSAI, Medium chances for CSE (40-50%) and High chances for IT.

• RANK UNDER 900 and Date of Counselling is 5/6 July : NO CSAI, NO CSE, Medium chances for IT (50-60%).

• RANK UNDER 1.1K and Date of Counselling is 6/7 July : NO CSAI, NO CSE, NO IT, Medium to High chances for ECE(40-50%).

It completely depends on the number of seats that are available for a particular branch. *This is an estimate statistics and not exact.

• If you are getting your desired branch, take it. Come a day before the counselling, explore the campus, departments and then proceed.

• If you are not getting your desired branch, but somewhat have some interest in it, you may take it. You can connect many alumni on LinkedIn for your branch to discuss more about it.

• You will be provided with a date of Hostel Allotment and you have to come again with your luggage and you will permanently be a Banasthalite then!

those who havent got the mail yet, keep on waiting, there are 1000+ students so it takes time. stay patient and keep on refreshing.

your doubtsss

okay hi girls, so apparently i'm getting many dms after my prev post so i thought to answer the most common doubts ive been asked with!

  1. how is banasthali for cse/csai?
guys it is really good in my opinion. the teachers here actually teach and make good notes. they also provide you with extra time or their mail id's for your doubts session. we have computer labs, robotics labs (for aiml), central library with many books, you can bring your laptop there and study as much as you wish to. placements are good, recently a senior i know graduated in 2025 is placed in Airtel with roughly about 21LPA. many recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Accenture etc. visit here almost every year. The highest package I know is around 40LPA. a 6 month internship is compulsory in the final year.

  2. how is the dress code?
khadi isn't a boundation here, if you don't have khadi suits then cotton works here as well. just some departments and teachers are strict about khadi, so you can buy them or simply wear the banasthali uniform. you can wear it if you dont have any khadi kurti. rest, the uniform is compulsory on wednesdays and sundays. for those who don't know, tuesday is the official holiday in banasthali.

  3. what rank will get me cse?
GUYS NO ONE KNOWS THAT! banasthali doesn't officially release the cutoffs so stop asking about how many questions should i attempt, how much score i need to get cse? it depends on the tentative rank you get in your offer letter! i can just give an idea, if your rank is under 300, GOOD because you have high chances to get CSAI, under 600 will make your chances good for CSE and similarly every branch has a rank range.

  4. how is hostel life?
banasthali has 4 hostels for BTech first year. the room is clean initially and you and your roomies have to clean it by yourselves. rooms are two-sharing and three-sharing. there's no attached bathroom to your room, so you have to use the common bathroom and washrooms only. you have to wash your utensils and clothes by yourselves. we do not have a washing machine here! we don't get any ACs or coolers, bring your own fans (preferably pedestals).

  5. when will i get my offer letter?
usually banasthali mails you the offer letter within a week of buat. if you don't get it early, then it will come before the dates of counselling begin. if it still doesn't come, then that means your application isn't accepted. you can also track your application from their website.

NOW THESE ARE THE COMMON QUESTIONS EACH AND EVERY GIRL ASKED ME ABOUT!

i hope that would've solved your doubts. you can drop other doubts in the comments.
