How do you make kids eat dinner?
Our child, who is a rising kindergartener, does not eat dinner independently at home. At preschool, her behavior is always great, including eating lunch. But at home, she just wants to play and will not sit at the table, so we end up spoon feeding her while she plays. She also eats very slowly, so dinner can take 2 to 3 hours every night.
We have tried not feeding her, but she once refused to eat anything at home for 3 days. We also have a 3 year old who does the same thing, which makes it even harder to get both kids to sit at the table. If we strap them into high chairs, they just scream nonstop.
What are your dinner strategies? Thank you so much!
