One month Post partum and Terminal ileum ressection - need positive stories PLS

I flared up one month post partum… went to the hospital with appendicitis and they saw inflamation in the ileum which made them not want to operate.

Now my gastro wants to her the ileum ressection and take everything out. He told me it’s a low risk operation specially with the right team.

I need positive stories!! Please

Appendicitis with ileum inflamation - I really need your help :(

I have Crohn’s for 6 years and have been with no symptoms since taking Vedoluzimab 1year and a half ago. Since then I fell pregnant and had my miracle baby one month ago.

Last week I had pain starting in the center of my belly and then, a couple of hours later, it migrated to the lower right side.

At the hospital they did an ultrasound and told me that the appendix was inflamed and enlarged (9mm) and that the ileum was inflamed and very near the appendix. So the operation would be risky.

I took antibiotics and the pain was gone. They said the appendicitis was starting and it would be possible to treat it with just antibiotics. But the Crohn’s pains started, at night I get a lot of pains on my back and belly.. I know this is gut inflammation because I ve had it before.

My fears are that the appendicitis comes back again after the antibiotics stops.. in a couple of weeks , is this possible ?

In this scenario it was likely the Crohn’s that inflamed the appendix or did I have appendicitis on its own ? The doctor told me that the Crohn’s can mimic the appendicitis pain but my pain having started in the middle of the belly and migrating to the lower right side it’s very indicative that it is appendicitis they say.

I am very very scared. Scared of being operated. Scared of it coming back and having my baby at home without me again.

Has this happened to you? How did you solve it ?
