Update: Looking to Rehome German Shepherd

Update: Looking to Rehome German Shepherd

THANK YOU to all of you locals who came forward with inquiries about this precious sweet baby girl. I was shocked at how many ppl were interested. I especially want to thank a special redditor who is now the proud doggy dad of Joi! I'm grateful for him as he seems like a wonderful dog person. I was able to slowly transition her to her new home with him and she seems to be doing well. Also shout out to the user who suggested Emancipet. I was able to have her spayed before handing her over. She was weirdly hyped afterwards and I found it odd and funny because I was expecting her to be a little tired from the medications. She is so smart and obedient. She never needed her cone and didn't bother her stitches at all!

I am truly so grateful to her new dad for maintaining communication with me and reiterating how much he was looking forward to having her. It helped me get over my selfishness of wanting to keep her when I knew I couldn't. She is a cuddler and I knew I was too allergic to do that a lot. Though I tried my best to take precautions I eventually got sick. Luckily we had already set a date for her rehoming. She got to recover at her new home and I get to recover as well. This worked out for the best and I plan to keep in touch so I can visit her and hopefully take her hiking in the fall. I miss her pretty self.

Looking to Rehome German Shepherd

Hoping this is ok to post here. Guess the mods will let me know. This doesnt seem to be an ad imo.

I'm looking for a loving, permanent home for a 5-year-old female German Shepherd. She's house-trained, calm and quiet in the home, doesn't jump on guests, and is affectionate. She loves being brushed and petted, and car rides are her favorite. She's good with teenagers and has lived around other dogs in the home, mostly ignoring them.

On walks, she's leash-reactive, so she'll do best with someone experienced with shepherds or comfortable continuing her training. She's not yet spayed.

I'm asking a few questions to make sure it's a good fit, and a small rehoming fee applies. Please message me if you think you might be a good fit or wanna learn more.

Edit:

She used to live with a cat. I have not heard of nor seen any incidents with cats. She seems to be curious then ignores. I have not seen her with other large dogs as well. She was afraid of my Shih Tzu, then curious, and now she only watches him and rarely sniffs him.

She is my brother's dog and was left behind with our mom. Once our mom was hospitalized and had to live with me through recovery, I also took Joi. My husband and I have never wanted or had large dogs. I also happened to be quite allergic although I've been coping quite well with medications. We are still on a learning curve and will keep her if we don't find an appropriate home but I couldn't leave her with my mom who never asked for/wanted the dog.

My ex hinted at meeting her but he's still grieving his dog. So I have her. I can't take her to a shelter because I wouldn't feel right doing that but at the same time I know our lifestyle isn't what she needs. I want her to be wanted and cared for because she is nice. I can cuddle with her a little and it somewhat makes me feel guilty when I can't hold her or pet her a lot due to allergies. I would love if she had someone she could always be near.

She is a sweet, shy, dog. Even the AC repair man took to her when he came here because she's nice and respects boundaries as well!

Edit 2: Booked her to be spayed Aug 4th! No breeders! Thanks for the help. I had been searching and was looking at hefty prices due to her size! I have no idea why Emancipet never came up in my search!
