[Fletcher] George Klassen will start for the Angels tomorrow in Miami. Klassen, who won the PCL Pitcher of the Month award, had a 2.48 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts (led the PCL) in the month of July. The PCL league average ERA is 5.49.
Something to note as well is that although MLB ranks him as our #10 prospect, some external rankings have him within the Top 100 or just outside of it. Fangraphs has him ranked at #102 in their new July update. And with his recent surge of consistent performance since May in a offensive-friendly league like the PCL, he is seemingly meeting those expectations and might become a fixture in the Angels' rotation soon.
