I formatted my laptop a few months ago and I forgot to jot down which version of GIMP I was using. I have the project files for that version, it's just they don't seem to say what version I was using. How can I go about finding out which version I was using?

If it helps I remember the version I was using loaded with a mushroomy kind of background every time I opened it. I believe I installed the version around 2023-24 and never updated it.
