Best non shock training collar recommendations
My boy is nearly ten months and generally his behaviour pretty good except for jumping and biting (non aggressive, over-arousal / overtired kind but it can get very overwhelming and bad especially when outside and nowhere to go to separate from him)
Some days a firm "uh" and he will stop or walking away and ignoring him will calm him but other days it's just so relentless that I feel like a failure. Things to help calm him are just amping him up. Ive spend a small fortune on bully sticks so he chews those and not my arms.
I haven't taken him for an actual walk in two months due to the biting. He does great going to into let shops every week though so I go to multiple ones every week as a walk alternative.
Been working on leash skills in the home and front yard which he does amazing with his biting makes me too nervous to try another walk yet. The last walk I broke down in tears in my car from how overwhelming it was.
I have seen so many posts saying an e collar really helped with their dogs. I am not at all against ecollar/ shock collars, I used a mini educator on my my last dog to teach recall (under trainer guidance) and loved it, my dog knew when I put the collar on it meant adventure time, but they are now illegal where I live.
Up until today, I did not realise that there were non shock vibration training collar options and they are legal to use.
Has anyone used one they would recommend? Or ones to stay away from?
