I finally got my German citizenship!
After a long wait, I finally got my German citizenship today. Honestly, it still feels a bit unreal.
The whole process took quite some time and there were definitely moments when I was tired of waiting and dealing with paperwork. But now that it’s finally done, I’m really happy and a little emotional too.
Germany has been home for a big part of my life, so this feels like more than just getting a new passport. I’m genuinely grateful for the people and experiences that brought me to this point.
For those of you who are already German citizens, did you feel any different after getting citizenship? And what was the first thing you did once it was official?
Also, what’s something you really appreciate about Germany that you maybe didn’t appreciate before becoming a citizen?
Just wanted to share the good news and hear from others who have been through the same thing
