[Routine Help] M with Oily/Combo skin. Got greedy and broke out. Should I try a different Vitamin C or stick to the basics?
Hey everyone, looking for some advice on what exactly triggered this reaction and where to go from here!
My Skin Type: Combination with an oily T-zone.
For the longest time, my routine was super minimal. I was mostly just using the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua sunscreen, and occasionally applying the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule. My skin was doing totally fine (see the Before photo).
But I got greedy and wanted that extra glow, so I decided to add two new products to my morning routine
- The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension .
- Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Poremizing Ampoule (the pink bottle)
For the first week, the combo was amazing,my skin became incredibly radiant. But by the start of the second week, the breakouts started. I developed these isolated, inflamed red bumps and a lot of tiny little bumps on my cheeks, which I’ve never really dealt with in the past (see the 2nd week photo).
I immediately stopped both the Vitamin C and the Poremizing Ampoule. I stripped my routine back for a week and just used Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen with Bioderma Atoderm Intensive gel.
After a week of this simple routine, the bumps and marks are pretty much entirely gone (see the currently photo)
What do you think triggered the breakout?
Any suggestions on what to do next? Should I look for vitamin c ?
which one do i use
pretty confused cause of the millions of options
right now i use simple face wash with ponds gel moisturizer
thinking of buying - niacinamide or kojic acid ( i don't know if that would help just saw that it is popular). Might even buy a face wash or moisturizer which includes these ingredients
don't mind the weird thing i drew in the pic
the pics don't really capture the extent of marks this was the best i could do
can't visit the dermat as of know
What's your go-to body lotion that leaves your skin feeling soft and smelling divine?
Has anyone tried these?

Guys I'm looking for perfume suggestions that smell like this body wash please,
I love this body wash and have been looking for a perfume which smells like this
I’m in my early 20s and I have very oily skin. I’m really frustrated because of it. Please tell me what I can do to control the oil on my face. I have to wash my face every hour, but within 15 minutes it becomes oily again. I also have small whiteheads and blackheads on my face. Please suggest me
Minimalist alpha lipoic + glycolic 07 cleanser - Smells really bad
I recently bought this product from Instamart. The smell is really pungent and pathetic. Is this is the usual smell or my batch is bad?
I finally have the confidence to step out with my bare skin.
Took a while but finally achieved clear skin 🥹
Dark , pigmented lips . Need recommendations please , Basic things not working .
Its been like 2 months i stopped smoking .
I have been using basic lip balms but there is very less effect , im having patience as im aware of how i mistreated my own body . So far i have used Minimalist lip balms (the grey one ) and its a no no for me in this humid summer , other one was Palmers lip balm , that was still better .
And smh i had an idea to go clean shave for the first time , it looks so weird without the beard and kind of gets highlighted now 🥀
I need recommendations for lip balm and what i need to do on daily basis to restore them back to normal .
Need help!!
My sister has acne ,pimple issue in her face. Visited dermatologist took medication, tried different facewash, creams, home remedies etc... still not improved. The no of acne and pimples are increasing day by day. Don't know what to do. Her confidence is breaking and she doesn't even go out now. Please help if anyone knows the solution.
Thoughts on salycylic acid 12??
I know its a dermatologist-prescribed ointment and I know it's pretty strong and can compromise the skin barrier. Am not asking whether I should use it i just wanted to know if anyone here has any experience using it.
Need budget shampoo and haircare recommendations
I've mild oily scalp which has build-up issues after 2 days of wash and then dandruff is not dry flaky but sebum coated like sticky. I need shampoo, conditioner, masks, oil, serums, leavein and everything hair recommendations so that my hair falls stops and my hair feels smooth manageable soft and healthy most importantly. Also I want something that helps with my hair density. Home remedies are also welcome.
I currently use loreal hyalurone range! And dove 10 in 1 peptide strength mask!
Starting my skincare journey!
I have been wanting to start for a long time but I kept delaying since I had no clue and only used a facewash, many of my friends and family member told me to start doing it as I have very tanned and dull skin, very large open pores on my nose area and oily skin and I am only 20 but people often tell me I look much older :(
I did some research and got these products, hope it helps!
Pigmentation
Hi all.im very much worried about my skin condition
Some are saying it's REIHL'S melnosis some derms are saying it's Lichen planus pigmentosis some are saying it's melasma or hyperpigmentation.
Is anyone here who is dealing with same kind of pigmentation
Honest reviews about this serum? Is it worth the hype ???
I'm thinking of buying this serum and wanted to hear from people who've actually used it.
Did it help with your skin/hair concerns?
How long did it take to show results?
Need skin improvement suggestions!
I've an oily T zone and dry cheeks otherwise. But in summers and monsoon cheeks are not very dry. They behave normally. But on the left side of my cheek there is recurring acne which leaves marks and then acne again. It's a vicious cycle. Mostly it's white head it's pus filled ones. My routine is Cetaphil cleanser am and pm and derma co sali-cinamide face wash 2-3 Times a week at night. And the ordinary niacinamide serum. No actives as such but I've started using aziderm 10% for 8-10 days.
Any suggestions on what to change in my routine or what products to use?
Also I need good moisturizer recommendations for my skin type in budget.
In winters i used Bioderma atroderm and it worked very well but I don't think it's working for me now in this monsoon. And I use minimalist and dot and key sunscreen.
How is Thrive Co. Shampoo, Conditioner and Oil?
My father at the age of 62 wants to revive his hair. He’s been ordering stuff from sus websites and Instagram ads even tho I have told him to be careful and buy from legit companies. He has been scammed several times where one of them sold him glue in the name of rosemary oil.
Now he has ordered a shi ton of products from Thrive Co. I have never heard of this company, Idk if it’s even safe or not. If anyone has any idea pls lemme know. Any other reviews would help.
Bio UV sunscreen
Was researching for a tinted mineral sunscreen (i mostly stay indoors so spf 30 is good) and came across this. I did search reddit for any past reviews but couldn't find much. So has anyone used this? If so how would you rate this. I have oily acne prone skin.
