SUNSCREENS:

1. Derma Co 1% Hyaluronic Acid gel sunscreen - (2.5/5)

Well, I have a combination type of skin and this product was too watery and shiny for my skin. It made me sweat a lot idk. One thing tho, it absorbed fast and there was no white cast. Would recommend it for people with dry skin only.

2. La roche-posay Anthelios UV mune - (4/5)

This product suited my skin very well !! It absorbed pretty quickly and gave a dewy kind of glow. Would not repurchase because of the cost, as it’s expensive.

3. BOJ matte sun-stick - recently bought

So I purchased this for reapplication purposes and it’s been only few weeks to give a review. But yeah it gives a nice matte finish when applying, and doesn’t feel heavy at all.
Remember only opt this for reapplication purposes!!

CLEANSERS:

1. Cetaphil gentle cleanser - (4/5)

This is my HG during winters. Doesn’t irritate my skin and strip off and make my skin dry. But during other season, I felt it didn’t give me that squeaky clean feeling and felt like I’m applying moisturiser on my skin.

2. Dot and key cica calming facewash - (4.5/5)

I use this facewash during summers and it’s the best for my skin !! It removes all the dirt and everything without stripping my skin and making it dry. Sometimes it does feel a bit dry but yeah it’s manageable.

MOISTURISER:

Bioderma atoderm- (4.2/5)

Using this for so long and it never disappoints!!
As a combination skin girl, this is my hg during all seasons except summers. It feels heavy during the warm weather. I switch to a light moisturiser during summers. It didn’t give me any comedones but I heard from some people they got it.

EYECREAM:

BOJ retinal eye cream- (2.7/5)

Well, well,well. It’s been few months since I’m using this product but I didn’t find any difference or change in my dark circles. I have to agree this was an impulse buy cause I was so insecure of my dark circles. I don’t blame the product because dark circles cannot be cured solely through creams and serums. I would suggest not to buy this and rely on good sleep and diet.
*my fked up sleep schedule might be the reason it didn’t work 😭 (med student iykyk)

SERUM:

Plum niacinamide serum 10%- (3/5)

Okay so this was the first ever skincare product I’ve ever bought. Used it regularly for 2-3 months and it did gave a nice texture to my skin and pores. It didn’t fade my dark spots completely but yeah to some extent I would say 30-40%.

PHARMACY PRODUCTS:
(Use it under the guidance of a medical professional)

1. Aziderm 20% gel - (4.3/5)

Been using this for quite a while, used the 10% and 15% variants before.
The things about Azelaic acid is takes a while to work. It took me 2 months of religious use to make this product work on my skin.
It reduced the redness in my skin and faded my forehead dark spots. I still have some dark spots on my nose and I’m currently using it.
Let’s see how it fades them

2. Benzoyl peroxide- 2.5%

I use this only as a spot treatment on active acne spots or the newly forming acne. I would say it worked well, but please stay away from other actives during using this product.

Hello everyone,

I'm a 38 year old male, and I want some help regarding dark pigmentation that has happened over my forehead as well as cheeks over the last few months.

Starting off with the left cheek (photo 1 & 3) I've had this pigmentation for quite some time and it seems to get a bit darker when I shave my beard. However, since the last few days, I've also noticed pigmentation on the upper part of my right cheek (photo 2). It's a bit lighter, but is visible in the mirror as compared to in photos.

Apart from that, I've also had pigmentation on the center part of my forehead (photo 4) over the past few months. It's mostly in the form of the letter T, and the skin just above the eyebrows seems to be of the regular tone.

Also, I've had a dark patch on the top left of my forehead (visible in photo 1), and I believe it's how the pigmentation started. I've visited two dermatologists for these. The first said it was PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) but there was no injury to that area, and the second didn't really say much. Both dermatologists prescribed Tacrolimus ointment that didn't do much, and I discontinued using it after a week after reading it's not even effective for hyperpigmentation.

I would also like to mention that the last few months have been extremely stressful for me due to some personal reasons, and I've pretty much ignored my diet. I don't have a proper sleep cycle either, and usually sleep and wake up late.

Lastly, I had a full panel done recently and it came up with Vitamin B & D deficiency, and I've been taking supplements for those.

I've read about products like azelaic acid, tretinoin, kojic acid, and glycolic acid, but I really don't know how to use them and which products to go for. I've never paid attention to skin care, and just use basic face washes and face scrubs from brands like Himalaya. I did use some products (vitamin C serum, retinol, and barrier boost serum) from Dot & Key on and off in the past months, but have stopped using them.

Hello i am a male in my late teens, experiencing dark circles from pretty much my mid schooling time, I lost around 18 kgs during nov 2025 to march 26, been consistent in diet, gym and sleep in June-july-august 26, and as my face fat melted i have seen my dark circles to become more visible, please suggest some good skin care creams/any item to remove my dark circles.

Ps: never used any skin care except face wash**,** moisturizer and sunscreen, i can say its hyperpigmentation so please suggest me accordingly.

i have normal skin type & have been using fluid sunscreen for a long time- before this i used minimalist’s light fluid sunscreen and had absolutely no issues, but this one disappointed me so so much man. i hate how it piles off- and yes before someone comments and says “yOu nEeD a pRopeR bAse” i use a barrier repair moisturiser + a nmf toner so stfu. anyone who is thinking of buying this fuckass shitty sunscreen PLEASE DO NOT BUY. waste of money genuinely 👎🏻

Hi everyone!

I recently had what seemed like an allergic reaction to a lipstick, and ever since, my lips have become noticeably darker and more pigmented. 😭 The irritation has mostly settled, but the pigmentation is still there, and I'm worried about whether my natural lip colour will return.

I visited a dermatologist and am currently using the prescribed tacrolimus ointment, antioxid capsules, and UV-protective lip balm.

Has anyone experienced lip pigmentation after a lipstick reaction? How long did it take for your lips to return to their natural colour? I'd really appreciate hearing your recovery experiences. ❤️

So my hair type 2a/2b (M) i have medium length hair and i want to grow it out currently i use mamaearths onion shampoo,but right after the shampoo my hair feels frizzy and it feels so annoing so i would love for you all to recomend me a conditioner and a leave in conditioner

Using azelaic acid 10%, Ethiglo cleanser, used prescription meds but no change in acne, any product suggestions on CC, PIH?

I am facing 1) Hairfall , 2) Hair thinning , 3) Dandruff , 4) Tan.

I went to dermat for the issues and he suggested me not not take minoxidil now and try this ANAGEN lotion. I have no idea what this is and also not been able to find this. If anyone know what this is , where to find or alternate to this please guide me.

Also you do you think doc said no to minoxidil now and this instead ?

And if you know about this sunscreen ? It shows its a 26 spf sunscreen so should I use this one or go for other sunscreen as I live in Chennai with pretty high UV index.
