To all the footwear designers out there, how do u come up with new concepts? I'm a fresher footwear designer and I find it very hard to filter out concepts, especially stories for a seasonal collection. I work with a mass market oriented MNC, where, the design process starts with copying competitors/international brands/trends blend together to create something relevant to the brand. I'm finding it very difficult how to find concepts, due to the creative constraint. How do I get better at this?

All we do here is browse brand websites, catalogues, fashion magazines, trend forecasting websites, and Pinterest.

So me and my collegemate got placed in a well known brand as a designer. It's been less than a month, we both are freshers and were given the same kinda tasks, since a week, my manager is avoiding me, not assigning any tasks, I'm completely bored at my workplace so I started learning and improving my skills. But Im feeling intentionally left out. whereas, my colleague is getting new opportunity to work with other sub brands. I approached my manager and did enquire if anything should be carried out from my side, he was kinda smiling and told me," chill, you'll be assigned a ton of work." I'm silently suffering at work, mostly I feel unnoticed. What to do? Does that mean I'll be fired/not upto the mark/less preferred?

So I joined as a fresher in design field. It's been hardly a month. There is another college mate of mine who joined along with me, and all of a sudden, from this week, my manager is avoiding me totally and is not giving me any task/work, despite enquiring abt it.

My fresher colleague is given opportunity to work with other sub brands and categories whereas im avoided totally. I have no idea what to do, am I fucked or gonna be fired 😭😭 I did meet him to get feedback but he dodges my interaction I feel
