i’m looking at getting a new pair of glasses next year and trying to figure out how much i’d actually save with a vision plan. the frame allowance sounds useful, but i’m not sure how far it goes once you start looking at the prices of frames you’d actually want. anyone here subscribed to them and use the frame allowance? did it cover a decent portion of your frames, or did you still end up paying most of the cost yourself? i’m mostly trying to get a realistic idea of what to expect before choosing a plan. the allowance sounds good on paper, but i’m guessing the actual frame price makes a big difference.

I've had my emergency fund sitting in a regular savings account for way too long and I finally realized how much interest I'm missing out on. My old bank pays basically nothing, like 0.01%, and I just found out that's actually a real number and not a typo. I've got about 15k I want to move somewhere it can actually grow a bit while still being easy to access if I need it.

I looked into a couple of the big online banks but got overwhelmed comparing rates and fees and honestly don't know who's legit anymore since some of these promo rates seem too good to be true. My current bank account is honestly not doing much for me anymore and I think it's time to switch.

Anyone had good experiences this year with a specific bank, and did the rate actually stay decent after the first few months or did it drop off fast?

checking back in: i appreciated the recommendation. indeed we ended up going to westgate river ranch resort & rodeo for our anniversary and it was incredible. it had everything mentioned and more—spacious platform tents, real comfy beds with upgraded linens, portable a/c, a private bathroom, and even a microwave and fridge. having the personal glamping concierge bring us fresh morning coffee delivered right to our tent while sleeping under the majestic oak trees and 5-million stars made it the ultimate luxury experience!

my wife and i have our first anniversary coming up and we want to try glamping, but we still want real comfort. a lot of the places i find online just look like regular tents with nice lights and a huge price tag.

we are hoping for a place that actually feels fancy. top priorities are great ac, a super comfy bed, private bathroom, and cool nature views (near the water or forest would be awesome). budget is open if the place is actually great.

has anyone stayed somewhere in florida that was 100% worth it? would love your favorite spots or any places we should avoid!
